Once again, I'm happy we didn't draft KWII!

The 49ers offered Julian Peterson the second largest contract in the history of the NFL for a linebacker (behind Ray Ray), and he refused. You'll never guess who his agents are? That's right! The Postons!

Guess Peterson is a f*&%ing soldier, too!

From CBSSportsLine.com...

The 49ers put the franchise tag on Peterson, and have made a substantial contract offer to him, but Peterson is being "Postonized." That's a new NFL verb, which means: Foolish agents doing damage to their players.

so what is this guy asking for, they didnt state his demands. Thats a big contract offer, the Postons ask for way to much money. I guess he just doenst want to be a 49er anymore.

So apparently the Postons have asked for a $30 million signing bonus for Peterson, and of course the signing bonus is generally the most important part of the deal because it's guaranteed money. And it would stand to reason that inevitably bonuses are going to one day to go up, even to the tune of $30 million. But I don't think Peterson is the one to be the the first to hit that plateau.

Don't get me wrong Peterson is a great young player but if you give him a $30 million bonus, how much do you give say someone like LaDanian Tomlinson?

Peterson, 30 million, rediculous, not even dan snyder would pay that kind of money. I can name plenty of LB's more deserving

He's a great linebacker, but those figures are insane. KWII would probably be a Redskin now if he had a different agent, I'm glad he went w/ the Postons =p

The funny thing about it Peterson and Arrington will be throwing a celebrity cruise soon out of the DC area. The Poston bros always aim at a rediculus number to start so 30 mil sounds about right with them. Their trying to show player they can still get the players good money. But what the postons don't realize the money is in advertising not, the teams. teams are not stupid enough to fall for their stuff!

That is a very high demand, but I'm a huge fan of Julian Peterson and have to say that although he isn't worth that kind of money, he does deserve big money. I was watching the Pro Bowl and they said that in one game in college they were stretched so thin by injury he actually had to line up at safety, corner (for 2 plays), OLB, MLB, and DE. College or not, that's very impressive. In no way is Peterson worth that kind of money, but I think you all are underestimating him. He's a leader for the 49ers, he's young, he can play, and he brings a lot of intangibles.
