Once again I want it to be next season now
Seems like every year if its college or pro football it ends either bad or good and i want it to be next season so soon. For the Redskins I waited an entire year, in the wake of exictment for this franchise after the great season last year. I finally thought this might be our year. Once again my hopes were shot down. I'm going to go into this "offseason" of mine I guess you can say and not get my hopes up but go into next season as to say "this time prove it to me", I want these guys to win and hopefully next season these threads will be talking about playoffs and great records instead of bad coaching and other unfortunate mistakes this organization has made. Can't wait till next season lets see some improvement now. GO SKINS

Re: Once again I want it to be next season now
Hard to believe there's only 3 games left, but in a forgettable season like this I'm ready for it to be over.
This was a season you wish you could just press reset a few weeks in and start over. The season was over from week 1. |

There was going to be a season, either this one, or next, where a young QB with zero game experience took over and struggled while taking his licks and learning how to win in the NFL. My big problem with this season is that all this Super Bowl talk was totally at odds with the "let's rebuild the core of the team" talk. Which is it? It can't be both. Even if we had been good enough to make the playoffs this season, I didn't see us stopping any of a number of AFC teams we would have had to do to win the big dance, so I'm glad we're finally, actually rebuilding, personally. What we lack is any kind of consistency, and what we're doing now should help with that next year. |

I too am looking forward to next year, but I'm wary about how team chemistry is affected by the offseason. |

Defensively should be a different story, but I don't see us spending like we did in years past.

Re: Once again I want it to be next season now
I guess it depends on what year in the past you're referring to. Will we spend like '00, no, but we could easily spend like last offseason. I think Williams' wishlist is going to be extensive.

How many high priced free agents are you expecting the Skins to sign?

I think we will sign a couple defensive players and reserve O linemen in FA, draft D in the early rounds, mabye an O-linemen in the later rounds & invite undrafted free agent D & O line, DBs & LBs. If we can't sign Dock it could get messy! |
