A better question would have been:
Do you know who Kevin Ware is? Yes No |

if I'm not mistaken it's his first brush with the law and it was only a misdemeanor right? I think he is talented enough to help our team and everyone does atleast one dumb thing in their life, so I think they should cut the guy some slack, but if something happens again he's gone with no hesitation.

"Use common sense and don't embarrass the Redskins"
Those are Joe Gibbs' only rules. I think Ware violated both of them. |

Gotta give him a little break. It probably is his first arrest and it is a misdemeanor so wait and see what happens and how he does in camp. Hey, he's going to have enough problems making the team at TE with all the talent they've brought in the offseason.

I’ll give the guy the benefit of the doubt, tell the facts come out, police officers in downtown bar areas know that it pretty darn easy to arrest someone for drunk and disorderly, because everyone is pretty much drinking and it’s your word against an officer. It will be interesting to see if Gibbs is the kind of coach that will use an incident like this to send a message to the players?

And on the same day in Miami, TE Randy McMichael was arrested for hitting his pregnant wife.
Ware screwed up, but with the oft-stated depth at TE, he had a good chance at getting cut anyway. Let's not make too big a deal about his mistake, though. The next day, Jaguars guard Chris Naeole needed to be subdued with a Taser in an alcohol related disturbance. Though details about Ware's arrest have been sparse, there is no sign he destroyed property, injured anyone, or damaged anything but his reputation.

Drunk and disorderly isn't exactly much of a charge, and isn't there some sort of saying in this country, innocent until proven guilty? Think so!

I don't think it'd matter, from what i've read, his blocking is average, and there's a lot of TEs on our list that are average blockers that don't get arrested. I don't really think its a big deal, but Gibbs could really use it to prove a point. NASCAR often uses a couple small infractions with huge penalties right after they change a rule, and the method tends to work very well.

lol, yeah, i don't think they'll suspend #20 though, since their afraid of pissing off home depot (a great source of easy money )
its weird gibbs is completely alright with tony punching people left and right though... guess good drivers are hard to find... and at $5mill he can't really back out either. |

It is Ware's first offense since joining the Redskins in 2003, but it's not the first time he was arrested. As a junior at the University of Washington in December 2001, he received a one-year suspended sentence and 240 hours of community service after pleading guilty to fourth-degree misdemeanor assault.
Ware was originally charged with third-degree assault, a felony, after striking a university police officer who was trying to break up a fight. He pleaded innocent in King County Superior Court at the time, then pleaded guilty after the charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Ware was suspended for the remainder of the 2001 season, missing Washington's trip to the Holiday Bowl, but he was reinstated his senior year and caught 42 passes for 463 yards in 2002. |

I also remember Ware fighting in training camp last year with someone. Trotter or Armstead maybe...?

Regardless of this most recent incident, I think Ware was going to have a very difficult time making the squad anyway. Now he's on verrrry thin ice... |
