Thats a big suprise. Hey maybe we can get him again. I think not. What a looser. Training camp has not even started and he is already cut. Maybe he will go back to Oakland and be with the rest of the loosers.

Does it seem to anyone else that players such as Russell seem to make the same rounds to the same teams, i.e. Skins, Bucs, Raiders, Broncos, the same teams are always looking at those older name recognition players

I just don't think the guy will ever get back in football shape. What a disappointment. Wasn't he a first round picK?

I'm pretty sure he was a first overall pick, or at least close to a first overall.

Are you sure this isn't a scene from the movie "Friday"? I mean how do you get cut on your day off? What a moron.

He was drafted number 2 overall in 1997 by the Raiders.

why not, what do we have to lose at the 2nd DT spot. I think Russel showed some signs of being good again next year. He did do well before he started getting caught with drugs didnt he? THen he was suspended and got out of football shape. At this point though they are plenty of players out there that havent been suspended that deserve more of a shot at a starting job

Joe just got rid of Ware over public intox, do you guys really, realllllllly think he'd bring Russell in for a try? NO WAY! This DT is finished as a productive NFL player, but he could start his own filmmaking company.

To me it seems this guy just isn't hungry anymore. The fact that Gruden gave up on him this early really says a lot. |
