Car Advice?
Ok, let me start by saying that I am clueless when it comes to cars. I mean, if ya tell me with a straight face that the dickfor has gone bad, and it'll be $200 to replace, Id probably nod my head and agree to do it. That being said, the catalytic converter in my pickup has gone bad. A "direct fit" has been priced at $440, but a "universal fit" is $300. Is there really any difference? I only want to keep the truck another year or two tops.

Re: Car Advice?
im not big on cars, but if your only keeping it for another year, go cheap. the universal only means it works on more then one vehicle

Quote:
Go to a salvage yard and get one off a truck, take it to a muffler shop and ask them to weld it on for $100 (or less). If you're not keeping the truck, don't get a new one. Junk yards rule. |

Re: Car Advice?
Universal fit paul, even if you were gonna keep. Keep that extra C note in your wallet!

This may be a far drive to pick up a part, but I've seen this place advertised:
Crazy Rays Used Auto Parts U PICK IT!! U PULL IT!!
