Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
I can't put a link here because I'm still watching Channel 9, but they just reported that Brunell will be headed to Seattle for an undisclosed draft pick to be the backup for Hasslebeck. Once I find a link I will put it up. They said Seneca Wallace will be moving to tight end. I think this is true because the Channel 9 guy said he talked with Brunell about it off camera and Brunell knows already. They also said Collins had already taken the #2 spot from him.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Oh yeah!!! getting at least something for Brunell is going to be great for the Skins.
I'd much rather have Collins as number 2 than Brunell This also sets up Palmer to stay on the active roster as the number 3. Things are looking up in the QB dept. |

Yeah it's coming from a source inside the Redskins. They said the deal isn't finalized yet but it will be soon. The fact that Brunell knows about it and approved of it should tell you this is more than a rumor.

Most teams would be F'd if they get down to their #3 QB

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Wow. But if Brunnell was #3, we were paying too much. Plus get something for him now--I'm pretty surprised we're getting anything. Wonder what the cap stuff looks like?

I'll believe it when I hear it from Joe Gibbs himself. But not a moment before then.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Who knows... with our track record...we'll end up drafting a stud and potentially starter a couple of years down the road.
Godspeed Brunell. You had a great career with us. Let's see what we can do in 07 Campbell.

If Hasslebeck goes down I hope Brunell does good in Seattle. He was never popular here except during 2005, and he always tried his best here.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Not so sure I like the sound of this, I would still feel much better starting MB over Collins if JC were to go down.
But hey, at least this will eliminate the ridiculous thinking that Gibbs couldn't wait to get his church buddy back on the field at any cost! |

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
How is Seneca Wallace moving to TE at 5'11, 205??
Maybe WR? |

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
I was questioning that part myself. But that is what they are reporting. I think that they mean WR, however they have said it more than twice.
Edit: I wonder if they were in the trade talks when they locked up Seneca for another 5 years, and if that was Seattle's plan all along. |
