2007 1st day draft picks released. Worth a look?
From an ESPN Article:
• A few more draft choices were released than usual. More than 40 picks have been cut since the start of training camp in July. (In 2006, 40 draft choices cut, 27 were cut in 2005 and 45 were released in 2004.) The surprises this year were the first-day cuts. The Cardinals cut third-round middle linebacker Buster Davis. Raiders third-rounder Quentin Moses, a defensive end, was released even though he had a partial guarantee to his contract. The Steelers cut fourth-rounder Ryan McBean, a defensive end. The Saints whacked fourth-rounder Antonio Pittman, a running back from Ohio State. Should we try to sign one of the DE's?

Personally, I'm sick of seeing the Redskins picking through other teams' trash.

LOL! I thought of that movie the other day becuase I was on a date and we didn't have enough in common to really carry a long conversation so they started to go ape shit and say how I need to learn how to effectivley talk to people.
Then they busted out the "At Least I HAVE PEOPLE SKILLS DAMNIT" as they go storming out. God I loved every second of it. |

The Bobs. Nice.
One man's trash is another man's depth at D-line. Certainly worth looking at, as I'm sure our FO is right now. But WR comes first, no doubt.

@70Chip: Awesome movie there lolol.
Personally, I would go after Quentin Moses. He's at least worth a look, plus he's young and coachable. He might just need some motivation. As for that whole picking up someone else's trash story, it reminds me of a story my English teacher once told me about college. He had a couch for like, a hella lot of years, and he finally decided to get rid of it one day in college, because it had stains and wear and tear and a lot of memories on it. So he put it on the curb, left for his class, and by the time he came back some other college kid had come along and picked it up for their personal use. The moral of the story is, people pick up other people's trash all the time, no matter how bad it is. The same applies to all these kids that just got cut.

Word on the street is that Quentin Moses just got picked up off waivers by the Cardinals. Darn.

Re: 2007 1st day draft picks released. Worth a look?
We got Buzzbee who looks pretty good!!
Practice Squad Working to get a few more things confirmed, but here are 5 guys they have signed for the 8 man practice squad. DE Alex Buzbee (Georgetown kid showed well) CR Byron Westbrook (local kid was an immediate hit but has a ways to go) LB Anthony Trucks (he worked his butt off in camp and glad to see him rewarded) LB Matt Sinclair (he and Chris Wilson often last two guys off the field adn out of the building on defense) CB John Eubanks (went neck and neck with torrence for 5th CB spot) That's a pretty good haul for the defnese and seems like they were able to keep most of what they wanted. I would think Bell the FB and Jordan Plamer (QB) would be there as well unless someone else signed them. Maybe Lefotu, too. Skins also looking around at WRs and other options for the roster. Will post more when I get it. |
