Looks like this team will be handing the ball off a lot. There's really no better QB than Marinovich?

He was alway's nice to me and most ever one. He didn't walk around like he was some football star. Which at the time he was. He just wanted to hang out. I can remember him at my friends house in the back yard by the keg drinking beer and smoking pot. Just chilling with a couple of old high school buddies at the end of summer. And I was thinking while it was cool to have Todd at our parties. Shouldn't he be getting ready for the season? And wasn't he being drug tested? We all know the answers to those qestions now. But back in 91 & 92 Todd had the world in his hands. Man he could play! He really could have been great QB. But he let it slip. Over drugs. I think ever body plays sports for diffrent reasons. And some of those reasons aren't allway's there's. And that's why some pepole play untill they have to be draged of the feild and some leave in there prime. They all have diffrent resaons for playing the game. I don't think any less of someone that leaves early. They need to do what's best for them.

Riggo, did you ever get the feeling that he was only playing to appease his dad?

Yea I think we all did. I think he loved to play. But his Dad took the fun out of it! Buy the time Todd was in college I think he was burned out. His Dad put alot of pressure on him in alot of diffrent ways. His Dad didn't let him eat any fast food or Junk food at all! I mean none! He had him lifting weights when he was a baby! Todd never really got to be a kid. I am not sure but if his Dad had loosened the leash when he was younger. He might not have ran so far from it as he got older.
Another sad thing is that his dad Marv is now doing the same thing with his little brother. They where on a local tv station a few years back. Showing how the little kid works out. Look for him to be burning out in 10 yrs! I just hope for that kid. Marv Marinovich learned a few lessons from Todd.

I for one am surprised that Ryan Leaf did not make the all Weed team! His name is a natural!

It's sad, because the drugs itself, pot, did mess these guys up, it's the dumb laws and rules that got them in trouble.

pot isn't nearly as life destroying as coke or heroine, but driving high (which happens a lot), among others things still makes it dangerous...
