Greg Williams Must Be Licking His Chops
I was just thinking, with the Cowpies cutting Quincy, all Williams must be thinking is to bring the house in the first quarter of week 3 and knock old man Vinny out of the game. Then of course you're going to blitz a rookie QB and if he gets knock out of the game, Bill Parcells is going to have to play quaterback, lol. I can't wait.

Everybody needs to relax with this whole Blitz craze thing. There are a lot of risks involved in blitzing and I can assure you that its not going to solve all our defensive probelms. Sure its a trend to be more agressive on defense these days and Gregg W. is a great corridinator but reckless blittzing isn't gonna solve the problem nor will it be what we do on D.

Vinny is a vet, he doesnt make a lot of mistakes. Taylor isnt going to have a field day with him like he may with Eli, but he isnt making the big play anymore either. He does have a bunch of options in dallas to thorw the ball to, and should be able to move it down the field. but dont expect big come backs from him if he gets behind.

Don't underestimate the Tuna
All the talk around town is how awful the cow-pies are going to be this season. Back in the day when Parcells was coaching the Giant's, even the mediocre teams, he always managed to give Gibbs fits. These two coaches know each other well and I guarantee if you ask Gibbs if the pies are gonna be pushovers just because they let a somewhat better than average QB go, he's going to say... "HECK NO"! I can't wait till Monday night baby, hopefully we'll destroy em but nevertheless, It should be a Fantastic game to watch.

What's the over/under on how long it takes until Henson takes over?
I say by week 8 he's in there. |

Yes, I think that the Cowboys will be ready. One article pointed out that Drew Henson has been clearly the best quarterback in camp, and I think that part of the suddenness in the release of Carter may be to clear the decks for Henson to emerge at some point this season. Carter has special gifts, but he wasn't necessarily "the answer" for Dallas. Henson may be.

Henson didn't prove anything in college, and still hasn't in the pros.
Blitzing IS the answer to our defensive woes. We need to create pressure on the QB and our line can't create that. Im not saying bring the house every time, but a hell of a lot more often than we did last year. We have STRONG DB's. They can handle man on man. Keep Barrow on the back and crush with LaVar and Washington. |

Well be a lot better aginst teh run this year to. Barrow is a one man run stopper. Ask any Giants fan what they think about him and its nothing but praise about his athleticism and ability to always be on teh play.
Barrow has pumped up arringtons level of play as well, which is a great thing.
