the tampa perspective

i was at the Tampa game, and would like to share with what i thought i saw
1. Joe bugel has done a great job with a patchwork line. the first half, heyer was getting pushed all over the field. the second half, he played like a man. with little or no help.
2. im not sure Al Saunders gets any kind of feel for a game. its almost like he refuses to run the same play, even if its successful. which leads me to
3. for some reason, the redskins aren't a good screen team. but every game the skins try to run a screen. anyone have a guess?
4. Greg Williams has done a very good job with a banged up secondary. daughty, and prioleau played very well on Sunday. seemed to be in the right places, other then the over throw to Galloway
5. i think macardell has been a bonus as a receiver, he is awful as a return man. the block in the back was a direct result of a dumb cut he made in not following where the return was supposed to go. and way too much east and west. instead of just getting up the field.
6. our game day coaching sucks. we never get out of the first quarter without burning a time out. and that fiasco in the fourth quarter was about as easy a call as you can make. why coach felt the need to go for it, instead of taking the easy three, is beyond me.
7. our kicking game is about as stable as your ever going to get. while Frost isn't spectacular, he is efficient. and Suisham is the real deal
i had great seats, and there were a crap load of skins fans there. Raymond James is a beautiful place to watch the skins. and Tampa's fans are first class. what happened to Randle-El? he warmed up, and played alittle bit if the first quarter, and then was gone. thought i might post this because of the tragedy. take some peoples minds off of that, and back to football

Re: the tampa perspective

It was an ugly game all around.

That said, todays events pretty much render the rest of the season meaningless at this point.

You left out what an incredible (weather) day it was to watch a game. I KNOW you liked that. Even though we lost, it is a Great experience at Raymond James
