Kellen Winslow
I've lost track of what's happening with Kellen Winslow. Did he ever sign with the Browns, or is he still holding out?

he signed after a 12 day holdout. still not their starter becuase of the holdout. WIll start for them early in the season though. Garcia is mad at him so we'll see how that affects his rookie year.

well, he shot out his mouth a couple times, basically telling his team that it was their fault for sucking so hard, but that he was going to fix it, so they need to step up to keep up with him.... and that he was going to play defensive end while weighing under 200lbs... (btw you see the clip of KWII trying to throw a tackle and get thrown up into the air/landing on his @$$... the next play he got a 15yd penalty for trying to punch a guy)...
anyways, i'm a hater... i'll stop now. |

Hey, you know what? At least Winslow tried to lay that block. Most people would have shyed away from it. He got rocked, but at least he tried. After he got up from being rocked, what's the first thing he did, Oh, gave props to Smith for putting a good hit on him.

I read Winslow's attitude had a lot to do with the Redskins picking Taylor.........it will be interesting to see how he does against the Redskins (the team that passed on him in favor of Taylor). Personally, I think the Redskins made the RIGHT decision.

I'll bet Chris Cooley gets more catches, yardage and touchdowns than Winslow does this year.

I don't know about that Beems, but I'd rather have Cooley either way. He seems to be a redskin, while Winslow is all about himself and no one else...

What I think is most amazing is that for weeks, if not months, the debate was Taylor or Winslow? And when we picked Taylor, a lot of people protested that we made the wrong choice because we needed a H-Back for Gibbs offense. And wouldn't you know it, we basically went under the radar and got an H-Back for Gibbs offense. Winslow would have been a fine choice, but Taylor and Cooley was the better choice.

cooley is bigger and will block better (i'd guess), but back during the debates, the polls at both the times and the post showed 78% of respondents prefered taylor, even though both papers were giving about 5x the space to winslow's awesomeness either way, cooley is looking like a stud (especially for a 3rd rounder), and i couldn't be happier with our somewhat shortened draft. |

the only thing i would change was not giving away our second rounder next year, but try to package a player and like a 3rd rounder next year

Beemnseven:
I'd rather have Cooley on the Skins than KW Jr. I think Cooley might have more TD passes than KW Jr. because he will be a red zone target in the Gibbs offense. But Cooley with more yardage than KW Jr.? I'm not ready to go that far. I think KW Jr, will also catch more balls than Cooley because more of them will come his way. |
