Champ playing both ways

An interception to boot... Clinton and Champ really wanted to show some skills on opening day for their new teams.

Champ's in the right places at the right times. No denying the talent. HOWEVER, he wasn't a Redskin and didn't want to be here so good riddance. My boy is SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!

Oh, get of Champs back. He was a great Redskin who wanted to get paid. Obviously the Skins didn't think he was that valuable. Portis is priceless but so is Champ.

Well, why wouldnt they? Its not like that have a plethora of WR talent over there, and anything to make Champ happy...

Griffin had a better game than portis. over 150, three tds, could have had five tds. So they arent missing portis yet either. So loosk like, as of week one, that everyone is happy

The trade is going to work out great for both teams in the end, too bad we're gonna have to listen to the comparisons all year.

Agreed. Both teams got something they needed. Champ was not going to play in a Redskin uniform, and Portis said he was going to hold out also. It worked out well for both teams. I wish Champ the best, that is until we play them. I love our defense and beleive it will be just fine without Champ, and Denvers offense will be just fine without Portis.

But Smoot I do beleive is a underrated corner I have said that since he got drafted. He is a player who is not afraid to mix it up and is not afraid of getting burnt he just flat out plays ball.

Matty and Bridaman, you're both absolutely right. I also think that Springs is a fine corner and I think he and Portis on our team is a better fit than say Champ and Trung

Didn't Champ ask if he could play WR for the Redskins........funny that pass happy Spurrier didn't take advantage of Champs ability to play BOTH CB and WR........But that's why he's gone isn't it........

Oh the skins defintley thought he was valuble. Didnt we offer him like a record deal or somthing? The guy flat out didnt want to be a Redskin anymore. I cant say that I really blame him after all the crap that happend here while he was here. I do think that the guys a great cornerback, but not as good as advertised. Hes better than both of our Cbs, but whatever. I'm done with Champ Bailey, he wanted no part of the Redskins and I really think its a two way street. I dont really care how he does anymore either.

champ couldn't catch/hold onto balls as a returner, whyy should he be a WR? if they had better hands they'd be WRs (smoot also catches punts away from his body instead of into his chest like champ did... that causes drops)... then again, we got gardner and champ is better than a lot of the receiving talent up there...
