TSN Mock Draft and Draft Scenario
The Sporting News has us drafting Mike Williams, WR out of USC with the 1st round pick at #5.. I doubt it will happen, they will probably go with Sean Taylor, but think on this..
See if a team out there that would be interested in Rod Gardner for a 2nd and 5th round pick, make that deal to get more picks and pick up a WR that is being compared with Randy Moss (on the field, not off it) to put opposite Coles for years... Again, very unlikely, but just putting it out there for conversation.. Possible trade scenario as well, if the FO thinks that Taylor may make it to #9, trade down with Jacksonville who is desparate for a WR to pick up an additional pick.. |

Wide receivers arent really held in high regard this off season. If TO went for a 2nd I doubt we could get that for Gardener regardless of off the field behavior.

We'd probably be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for Rod.
Multiple picks for a #2 WR? Ain't gonna happen. This isn't Madden's. |

If TO was traded for a #2 I don't want to imagine what gardner would bring back, your probably right about the 3rd rd matty, the only way I think you can take william's is if we could package up gardner with a pick, maybe next year's #1 and move back into the top 10 and get taylor or D-line help. I can't help myself every draft scenerio I come up with has to include a provision that net's us taylor.

Williams is not a bad idea. He is the kind of talent that used to show only every couple of years. I don't know much about him personaly, but he could be a terrific pro.

I haven't been blown away by either william's or fitzgerald, but I keep hearing some expert's say that these guy's have hand's or instinct's unparelled maybe in the history of the NFL, that's high praise for any 1 reciever let alone 2 in the same draft.
