They added him and WR Kevin Swayne just before mini-camp began.

If I remember correctly, Swayne was on the Jets, I vagely remember seeing his name in the local papers here in NJ and the the talk was that he had some skills. I am not sure what happened to him here or why he was released but it is another body to have in practice and maybe he can contribute on special teams...

As for Joe Saleve'a, all I know is that I've heard of him, so he must be at least somewhat decent. again, its another big body that can only help....

I expect at least one of these no-names on the DL to step up and be a force for Gibbs and Williams this season.

I think these no- names are the blue- collar, no nonsense, hard hitting players that Gibbs loves, and Williams will love. We'll see what happens, but I'm expecting nothing but postive rewards.

If history is any indicator, there will be a couple guys who come out of nowhere ... rookie FAs, obscure FAs ... and become big-time contributors this season and beyond.

maybe a run stopping d tackle can come out of nowhere, but I don't know about a big playmaking rusher. I just don't see Wynn or griffen, or daniels making a lot of sacks this year... which is too bad.

we have to remember B. Noble who by all reports and interviews is quite ahead of his expected recovery and should be ready for training camp. I'm pretty sure he was originally brought in as a run specialist DT and I know I'm interested in seeing how he can preform after that devasting knee injury last year. I was at that game and it was pretty nasty to watch so I wish him the best of luck this offseason not only for his own sake but I honestly think he can be a strong player on our d-line if he gets back to his previous strength and mobility.

With an injury as severe as the one Noble had, we shouldn't expect him to be back at full force until late in the season, or perhaps even next season. At the time of the injury, I remember Noble speculating that his career might be over. They'll probably bring him along slowly.

Noble is an unknown at this point. Even though he's ahead of schedule I agree we can't count on him for much. Anything he gives us will be a bonus.
