Williams rules!
Another classic Greg Williams presser is up at skins.com:
http://www.redskins.com/ Man, (and I've said it before)--I get so pumped listening to this guy break it down. He is the real deal. Great stuff about Taylor--he's having a great camp, he played with someone else's helmet on Sat. when his chin straps broke; he got up in the face of some Carolina WRs, giving them the business--all stuff Williams loves. Also, Williams said Taylor is picking up more and more, etc. Excellent comments about Lavar--he's on a mission, looks better than he has AT ANY TIME since Williams has been here, even before the injury. Sounds like Lavar has a chip on his shoulder. C'mon Lavar! Stay healthy and kick some ass! Interesting comments about the evaluation process--wants to get guys in against real NFL competition, not just against the scrubs. Holding out 9 people last game helped with that. Was totally pissed about the penalties (man, you could see the anger--I would not want to be on the practice field when this guy is pissed!), but said they fought hard--what he likes is tough, smart players. Overall, great stuff. Gives me confidence whenever I watch him. :headbange

Re: Williams rules!
I thought it was an interesting comment at the end of GW's press conference when he said that Sean Taylor was obviously working on things that nobody knew about. Looks like ST was doing more down in FLA than chasing fools down for his ATVs. Hope he's available for the Monday Nighter against the 'pukes'.

Re: Williams rules!
He always sounds like he is in control; doesn't he? Perfect type of guy for a defense.

Re: Williams rules!
His confidence is really what does it. It appears as though he's not just bs'ing either. He has proof that defensively, he is cutting edge. And his comfort level in front of the reporters, I wouldnt mind him taking over from ole Joe in 2-3 years. But can we keep him here that long?
I dont remember who is offensive coordinator was with the Bills. But we would need a real top notch guy if Greg was running the show. |
