Oh, Hell Naw! DAL beefs up LB corps

A lot of wheeling and dealing in DAL. As if their defense wasn't already scary enough they make a move to aquire LB Scott Fujita from KC. IMO, he's just as good a player as our own Marcus Washington. The end must be near for Parcells. They are making a serious run to put a powerhouse on the field. But don't get me wrong. The sum is always greater than the parts.

with the season up on us and Dallas having installed a new system, it will take him some time to get used to what's going on.

But is he really as good as M.Washington?? Washngton is a beast!

Didn't they draft a LB? Maybe they thought they should trade him before he has another solid season and they would have to pay him what he's worth.

Of course he's not as intense as MW. But stats don't lie. He's sound and doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

Yeah, they drafted Derrick Johnson from Texas. A guy many thought the Skins should have taken. He's really good!

But like I said it'll take him a few weeks to get the schemes and system down in Big D. No matter, we'll beat the hell out of 'em either way!

stats do lie, the rest of that D was terrible, so if he was halfway decent, he could seriously run up his tackle numbers... watch pierce's numbers go up this year cause the rest of that wrecking crew is just awful.

I wouldn't put him near MW, but he's been one of the best defensive players KC hass had over the last few years, and great value for a 5th round pick.

Let's not be opposite for the sake of being so. Marcus Washington played in INDs defense that sucked too. Considering the last two years only, Fujita is the best all around LB DAL has. Of course. DeMarcus Ware has the potential to to be the best this year on out.

Scott Fujita is a solid player, but I don't think he's a difference maker (ala Marcus Washington). Also, Fujita never played as a 3-4 LB, so he's got a learning curve ahead of him. I don't think he's going to make a serious impact to Dallas' defense...IMO.

Seems like KC gave him up on the cheap. Wonder why? Guess they were going to cut him...

Dallas has lots of depth in that D. It's going to be good, I'm afraid. But it's their O-line and QB that are the worry--Fujita isn't going to alter that basic equation.

(Wonder what happens to Parcells if the roids don't do well this year? All we hear is about Gibbs, yatta yatta. But the boys don't have a great window here, especially on Offense, IMO. )

I'm not, but i just don't think SF is as good as MW. and neither do the probowl voters i'd suspect

What's interesting with Dallas this year is that they are going out signing a lot of FA and high profile picks and "names". Sound familiar??

************************************************** *******
1. Peerless Price
2. Jason Ferguson
3. Marco Rivera
4. Scott Fujita
5. Drew Bled-slow
6. And a host of draft picks

thing is, some of those pickups (price, rivera, fujita, the draft picks) are actually going to help them :/

:thumb:

Im hoping for a Mike Vrabel/Carlos Emmons type of impact on the strongside

5 or 6 sacks, stout in the run game and good in coverage on the TE if necessary

Re: Oh, Hell Naw! DAL beefs up LB corps

Fujita wasn't even under most of you guy's radar until now. And that was the same situation when we signed Washington. You had no clue what a 'difference' this guy was going to make. I'm all for believing Washington is a better player than Fujita but, let's be realistic here. I don't like to go toe to toe, just to make a point of an opinion. The best defensive player on our squad last year was Griffin and he should've been the guy going to the pro bowl since the 'pro bowl voters' allowed us only one.
