Curse Of The Redskins

The Redskins seemed to have placed a curse on players who have left the team........look at the following evidence:

Coles-dropped passes/Jets lost
Trotter-ejected before the game for fighting/Eagles lost
Gardner-Carolina lost
Bailey-Denver lost
Smoot-Vikings lost

The only one that seemed to escape the curse was Antonio Pierce/Gints...........

Gus doesnt count was cut long ago, besides when he hit his head against the wall he dispelled any demons

BigSkinBauer........why the gints escaped the curse is not known. Perhaps the ghost of Y.A. Tittle protects the team............

I'm still pissed that SD didn't run th ball on DAL on that last drive or even throw the ball to Tomlinson. They had already dodged a bullet on fourth and long.

Re: Curse Of The Redskins

I've often wondered (as the losing seasons go on) if we (the Redskins) have a curse, in much the same way as the "curse of the bambino" for the Red Sox?

Have we wronged a player by sending him packing and not allowing him to have a full and sucessful career at the Skins?

Is it the curse of Art Monk? Did him going to the Jets/Eagles curse us? Or will we be jinxed until he takes his rightful place in the HoF?

In all seriousness though, despite what seems to be (yet another) tumultuos (sp) offseason and start to a season, we are currently 1-0, above the Eagles, have a great D, fantastic running game and Brunell could suprise us (and it WOULD be a suprise!) - I'm not about to give up faith in this years team and I hope not a single one of you out there will either!

From what I hear the curse against the Redskins was put in place by Native Americans because the Redskins won't change their nickname...........however, there are many other Native Americans that dont have a problem with the team nickname..............

Well we need to find those Native Americans who don't mind and reverse the curse.

Boss, yes Marty's play calling was questionable. And the San Diego STUPID Chargers gave this game away......not one, not two, but THREE STUPID third down penalties gave the Cryboys automatic first downs......

Re: Curse Of The Redskins

The Giants escaped the curse due to playing "in" New York on 9/11. We'll see where they go from here.

Don't forget that both Norv and Schottenheimer lost too....
