Yeah, no shit. Cry me a river, LaVar. We already know you're not the sharpest tool in the shed, stop talking before everyone knows. Just conform to the mold, sell yourself to the players association, stop complaining that you're not getting enough cash when you're the highest paid LB in the league, and just go to camp and work on your tackling.

Lavar, two questions for you:

1) Did you and/or your agent even READ this contract???

2) If you "just want to play ball" why do you and your agent/lawyer keep bringing up these issues???

You are the highest paid LB in the league....Shut up and play!!!!!

I'm just glad I got the jersey when I had the chance... Are they still selling them until they run out, or did they just stop when his lawyer sent out the memos?

I hope he speaks slowly and uses small words.

He makes 6% off the sale of his merchandise, yeah I would not want an extra few hundred thousand a year or whatever. Also got a kick out of how he says it is cool seeing people wear his jersey. I was on the redskins site this morning and his jersey was still for sale.

As dumb as this sounds, I hope they work this thing out before Madden '05 is finalized. It's my pet peeve.

At least this makes the organization look better, since the NFLPA is trying to screw him to, by including a standard merchandising clause.

Wink

Yeah, it seems like it's the world against LaVar. Poor wittle guy. Only making 60 million dollars to play a game for a living and getting paid royalties to have his name and number put on jerseys. Anyone have his address? I 'd like to send him some flowers, maybe a sympathy card. If he starts talking about himself in the third person, I'm buying a Portis jersey.

I remember that LaVar complained that 6% of the wholesale costs was too low a percentage and wanted more. Does anyone know however if he was just looking to increase his share or set a new standard for all players?Because if it's the latter I'm surprised no one else has made these complaints.

Either way, LaVar needs to find some new representation and get his off-field act together.

I'm a little confused...

We chose to pay LaVar over Champ because supposedly Champ doesn't want to be here, but now LA is not only saying he's missing 6.5 mil but he also is saying that he doesn't want to be a part of the merchandising contract because he wants a higher percentage?

I can't find my calculator, can anyone tell me what 7.5% of nothing is?

Is there a way to send Lavar Arrington a note or email to tell him he is looking real greedy and bad? You always hear how players get fan mail, does anyone have an address to him or Redskins park?
