All Arrington All The Time (Mega Merge Club Mix)
Hey, I am going to try to listen to this post what I hear, but I'm in and out of meetings, so I just wanted to start this thread for anyone getting a chance to listen to the whole thing and report on what goes on!

Re: Lavar on 980 @ 4pm
They just played the Howie Long clip, and Lavar said that it wasn't true. He said that Howie is just trying to start up some rumors. He went on to say that he would never say anything like that (that he wouldn't attend any meetings). He says he's 100%.
He doesn't want to become a distraction, because the team is doing so well. He's just doing whats asked of him. |

Re: Lavar on 980 @ 4pm
"I just want to get on the field, even if it means going out to greet my teamates" "I just want play"
"There is no power struggle" "I'm doing what ever is asked of me" "I'm not the starter, Warrick HOldman is the outside starting LB" "I'm not going to sit here and start mudslinging, or add to the confusion" "I'm condemned if I say something and I condemned if I dont" "the rumors going around saying I'm a freelancer....I don't want to play special teams, its all rumors." "I lost my job, It was my job for 5 years and now I lost it." When Doc asked about the game Lavar hit him back with, "now that is what we should be talking about" He is giving props to the players, MOss, Royal, Burnell, basically everyone, he is breaking down the offense ... time of possesion, etc ... He sounds real genuine talking about how he just has to figure out where he belongs, how he has been here for too long to start griping. Here comes Koken ... Koken: Has anyone ask you to play special teams? LA:I have not turned anything down, so I have not been asked? Koken: YOur contract have any bearing on your playing time? LA: I won't comment on that, one way or the other Doc: Do you have any dialog with Gregg Williams? LA: Absoulutley not...but I don't want to sound unselfish ... as coaches I don't understand why there is no dialogue, etc. ( ME: THIS DOES NOT SOUND GOOD AT ALL) I feel real good about his words, and his honesty .... he is doing a good job about putting out the fire, quick.

Re: Lavar on 980 @ 4pm
Still, he sounds really unhappy that he is not playing.
Guess I can't blame him. He is such a gamer. |

Damn I wish he were on the field. He's too good to be sitting on the bench.

More Lavar quotes:
"I love my fans" "I couldn't have dreamed having a support system like the REdskins fans" "this is just another hurdle" "I wish I could give them what they want on Sunday" he is going off on the fans ... love fest right now. Man, I officially feel bad for #56 man, LETS GET HIM IN THERE MAN!

Re: Lavar on 980 @ 4pm
That was a good interview. You can tell it's eating him up inside not being on the field, but he won't talk trash about the organization. I can't help but to pity the opposing team when he finally gets back in the starting rotation and he decides to take out all that frustration.
Lavar's a good man and deserves better. |

Re: Lavar on 980 @ 4pm
The settlement that Arington and the Skins reached over his grievance had something like this in the package:
If Arrington makes the Pro Bowl twice in the next three years,k he gets to void the rest of his deal and become an unrestricted free agent. Hmmm... It will be hard for him to make the Pro Bowl on the bench. So, as long as the defense is playing really well without him, what is the motivation for the Skins to put him on the field? If the defense stumbles, they'll go to him for help; but until then, it won't surprise me to see Arrington on the field for less than a dozen snaps of the ball.
