Montana made history this spring after passing the first state law to prevent the government from spying on anyone in the state by tracking personal information stored in their electronic devices.

The new law made Montana a pioneer in the age of electronic privacy rights by requiring state and local government entities to obtain a probable-cause warrant before remotely engaging personal electronic devices.

House Bill 603, sponsored by Rep. Daniel Zolnikov, R-Billings, was signed into law by Gov. Steve Bullock on May 6.

Totally agree, but Obama ran on a 'Change' platform. He deserves extra derision for all the non-change.

Exactly. Obama ran on the premise that he was going to get rid of all the programs and legislation that ignored the Constitution, while praising whistleblowers for keeping the government honest. Not only did he break his promise, he actually expanded the crap. Gave himself the ability to decide who should live/die with a kill list. Killed US citizens without due process. Gone relentlessly after whistleblowers...and on and on.

Obama is such a huge piece of shit.

The folks from the Sunlight Foundation have noticed that the Change.gov website, which was set up by the Obama transition team after the election in 2008 has suddenly been scrubbed of all of its original content. They noted that the front page had pointed to the White House website for a while, but you could still access a variety of old material and agendas. They were wondering why the administration would suddenly pull all that interesting archival information... and hit upon a clue. A little bit from the "ethics agenda":

So let me get this straight. The guy who flat out lied to Congress about NSA spying and recording data of US citizens is the guy who's in charge of setting up this "independent" review group. Wow. At this point, you can't even be mad at the corrupt politicians, you have to blame the people of the US. How else can you explain our government doing shit like this. Why? Because they know the voter base doesn't give a shit as long as they get their reality TV and hot pockets. They don't even try to bullshit the public anymore.
