Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
Jamie Dukes basically questioned RG3's commitment. He seems to be using the spin that this is RG3's decision to not play when it seems to be obvious it's a decision that everyone is on board with.

Dukes is the Skip Bayless of NFL Network.

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
RG3 hates the preseason and is sending the wrong message to his team according to Dukes.
Did we not spend the entire offseason listening to these talking heads blast the team for playing RG3 when he was hurt, not caring about the player, etc.? Now the team is taking it's time with their star player and trying to take the safer route and it's F them for trying to be smart. |

Re: RGIII has been cleared for practice
I wouldn't mind if RG3 played a quarter this preseason just to get his feet wet, but the game speed is totally different so if he doesn't play at all I won't mind.
As far as Dukes/Irvin go, I think they're achieving exactly what they want out of their statements, which is more people discussing their thoughts. Just like any other decision made by any other coach, some people are going to like it, and some people are going to hate it, at least publicly to earn a little more attention. Which leads me to a curious question I have: SS, in your opinion, have you met any media members who have taken a different stance publicly for more attention, but actually side with a more reasonable take in private? I'm sure it could be possible, but it'd be hard to prove, because if they had an outlandish take on a story they'd stick with that viewpoint throughout so they wouldn't appear phony. |

The skins should do the Denver-Manning route with RG3 this preseason

That just seems pointless to me, if they are going to do that, then just rest him and don't play him until the after the bye week. Just seems dumb to say its just the eagles week one so we are going to just rest RG3.

KC should have played from Cleveland-Dallas and let Rob be healed for the playoffs. Instead, KC played Cleveland and Rob over did it and we lost a home playoff game. Lesson to be learned...don't throw Rob out there and make him do it all himself. Otherwise, why else did we draft KC??? We needed a backup, let him serve his purpose. How else will we engage trade value after the year for him? I'll wait for you to catch on...... Look I'm ready to cheer for Rob too but the team name is Redskins, not Robertskins= sometimes it takes playing team ball and the best interests of the team is to affirm Rob's health and with an early bye week, the season is going to be long. |

The what ifs KC "sucks" is 'tarded. He has to show/prove. His trade value won't be based on propaganda and college film, it will be games beyond preseason. Whatever man. Step back and open your mind b/c I don't see how you've made any sort of point. |
