Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Tebow didn't have Wes Welker a perennial pro bowler, a stud TE in J. Thomas, a finally healthy Moreno, and two wrs in D. Thomas and Decker going into their 3rd and 4th years where most WRs not named Megatron and Fitzgerald primarily hit their stride.

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Brady has zero WR weapons...Welker was a big loss, Gronk being hurt and Hernandez locked up.

Brady haters will always say he's had help blah blah, fact is they showed the numbers the other day and it wasn't even close , manning has had way more help over the years. Both are great QBs it gets old hearing the same stuff about the 2.

Exactly, no way this pats team should have won 12 games , who is their big name playmaker?? On either side of the ball... It shows how great BB and TB really are.

They were 7th in total offense. They were 9th in rushing yards. They were 10th in passing. (total NFL rankings) So Tom has no weapons, yet they manage to put up that type of yardage and scoring. Tom has weapons. Because YOU have never heard of them or because they aren't Dez, CJ, or AJ Green means they have no play makers. Apparently you haven't seen jack shit from Edleman, nor have you seen their running game. Sure, those first few games were brutal for Brady and company, but they took off once they got their rhythm. Stop this non-sense that Brady has no weapons. Also, if Brady has no weapons, and Bill Bellichick is picking the players. What exactly does that say about BB?

To be a dynasty you need a great defense, great offense and a great set of special teams. That is why they become dynasties. |

To be fair Tim did win a playoff game with Denver, that team is stacked on offense

Re: Around the NFL Championship Weekend
Brady v. Manning is overhyped. Neither would be anything if they didn't have 10 other guys on offense helping them out, as well as an entire defense supporting their leads and special teams helping them out. That's why they always give credit to their supporting cast, because they know they are the voice of an entire team. I think both are amongst the all-time greats at qb, but I don't care to rank which is better than the other. Both of them have put up amazing numbers with and without great supporting casts, although Brady has more seasons with the latter.

Without a great defense do we view Brady the same? Most likely not. Its a joke that people think one is better than the other when football is such a team game. |
