Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Still, it sounds like Cousins has a plan for politely pushing the issue. “I’m gonna communicate my desire to play in a classy way,” Cousins said. “I don’t want to do it in a way that’s gonna hurt our organization or reflect poorly on me or the team. But yeah, I absolutely want to play, and that’s not a complicated fact. But we’ll see what happens. We’ll see what’s in the cards. And if I’m not good enough, I’ve got to accept that, but all I’m looking for is that chance.”

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I get that wanting to get your name out is good. But NFL general managers aren't going to judge him by listening to interviews, they're going to look at the film, look at his work ethic and so on. I can't remember a back-up doing this much media. I can see doing one, but he keeps talking it seems every week.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Actually I was serious, if Cousins wants his opportunity he needs to go it instead of talking about it. Cousins is no competition to RG3, the coach said so. Only Shannahan's QB goggles think he is a first round selection. Shannahan should have had the nerve to pick his first round prospect.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Someone needs to tell all the #2 QBs in the NFL about these job opportunities up north.
I shudder to think how they have languished on the bench down here.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I think being a backup in the NFL just makes some guys complacent ... Not to mention I bet the pay isn't nearly as good in CAN even if you were a star lol.. I dunno... Guys prolly view it as a step down, instead of an opportunity to play...

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
I wonder if the Texans would be a good option as a trade partner for Cousins if they decide to draft Clowney.
Probably not because I can see them drafting Clowney and trading for Ryan Mallet instead, that is what I would do.

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Cousins is CFL type talent. Plus he is whining about an opportunity to start everyday and I am tired of hearing it. Go to Cananda already!!!

Re: Cousins Open to Trade.
Don't hate on the CFL. Warren Moon played in the CFL, so did Joe Theismann. Can't imagine what Moon's stats would be in today's NFL. He'd have 5,000 yards every year.
