I believe the substance abuse policy covers a lot more than just recreational drugs.

That's what I'm not understanding. If it's a PED, why isn't it under the PED list? Why put a PED under the list of substance abuse drugs? Idiotic if you ask me. Either way, I'm not sure I would have been taking any supplements if I were TJ. I simply wouldn't wanted to have risked anything.

I feel badly for Tanard... Obviously he's got an addiction problem. Sad that the NFL does everything in their power to protect and support organized criminals and wife beaters, but kicks addicts to the curb. Sigh.

- Said every A-Hole that doesn't understand the basics of addiction and fails to realize that they either don't have the gene or instead of doing drugs their addiction is focused elsewhere (if they're lucky its work hence the term workaholic).

And you're absolutely right about the NFL's terrible double standard. They tip toe around the tulips with wife beaters but they seem to go full bore at people who clearly need help. And the sad thing is for every Cris Carter that gets a wake up call there are plenty of other players that fall deeper into drugs and alcohol when they become scorned by the league.

I will say this though even the over the counter stuff these days seems pretty intense. I took DHEA for a couple of weeks back in April and May and it took a while to notice but my personality was exponentially more aggressive than before I had started taking it.

Not to mention for the first time since High School I found myself using face cleaners like Oxy Clean in hopes of getting rid of a giant pimple on my nose that I affectionately named Chronos (who I've been obcessed with since God Of War 2). Something else I have to stop doing as I've also named my beast of a Desktop computer Chronos.

I don't know enough about the situation to comment. But from what I know and have heard, it seems like Tanard should have known better than to put himself in a position where he'd have to count on getting the benefit of the doubt.

If it's addiction, it's not as simple as not being stupid. It's a chemical dependence. Any of y'all had trouble quitting smoking? Same thing.

Everyone who smokes is stupid, yet most people don't worry. They know full well what it's doing to them, yet they keep puffing away. Most are not losing millions of dollars, but years off your life is just as bad, if not worse.

I think it's stupid if one doesn't seek help to kick the chemical dependence. Obviously when you lose your job over it, you've got a problem.
