Alabama player? No thanks. They're getting to the point where they're almost as bust prone as LSU players. Though for different reasons, as it seems Saban has a reputation for running guys into the ground with physical practices.

After learning the hard way of what happens when wearing Beats in the NFL, 49ers QB Kaepernick has found a way to sidestep the Beats headphones ban. Yes, ladies and gents, he simply tapes the logo. Hit the jump for photos of Kaepernick’s bold move!

The San Francisco 49ers quarterback, who was fined $10,000 for wearing the product produced by a competitor of an NFL sponsor to a postgame press conference last week, sported them again Monday night after the 49ers beat the St. Louis Rams 31-17.

Kaepernick stepped to the podium and there, around his neck were Beats by Dre, with the logo taped over.

Sponsors and the league should probably realize that this type of enforcement is an EXCELLENT way to provide people with a reason not to purchase your products.

No highs, no lows? Must be Bose.

Beats co-founder says NFL ban turned them into superheroes

Apple’s new headphone company received an official ban from the NFL this season, prohibiting the Beats cans from being worn at games or official press conferences, and Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine couldn’t feel more lucky.

Iovine was the keynote speaker today at the University of Southern California’s Global Conversation, and according to Business Insider, he told the audience that the NFL’s decision to ban Beats at the behest of Bose was an inept move that’s turned Beats into a superhero.

“What happened there, you have a tech company that’s culturally inept,” said Iovine. “There’s no one at the company that said, ‘If you ban these guys, you’re going to look bad to the young people, and they’re going to look like superheroes even though they’re just pure capitalists — well they’re not pure capitalists, but they’re real capitalists and sold that company to Apple — but you’re going to make them look like the underdog.”

Iovine and Dr. Dre have mastered the art of guerrilla marketing to make Beats the biggest name in headphones, thanks to a steady stream of celeb endorsements, music video cameos and a keen touch with pop culture. Beats was also banned from the World Cup this summer by official sponsor Sony, but the ban was a huge score for Beats, which was seen as the headphones soccer stars really use when they’re of the field.

“It’s like, I can’t believe I’m this lucky,” said Iovine. “I feel like sending them the tape,” referring to Colin Kaepernick’s decision to put tape over the Beats logo during press conferences, after the NFL fined him $10,000 for wearing them earlier this season.

New rule for Showtime : Inside The NFL. Chris Simm's and Boomer Esiason are not allowed to sit next to each other.

They say cross racial identification is unreliable, yet it seems to be a moot point when these two are involved as I imagine that all races have trouble telling them apart.

Would CJ Spiller be a fit in the Grudden offense? Id send them Cousins and a late pick for him. Spiller needs a fresh start, I think Skins would fit.

There are rumours out of Buffalo they are taking offers, why the hell not?

From the fans perspect, Alfmo is wonderful...but that perspective is not the one that counts. Gruden needs a pass catcher and I think he would like a more atheletic back to pair with Alfmo. Thats just my feeling.

If they took anything from a 5th to a 7th, yes I would consider it, but like everyone else has said, we need OL and S help.
