Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
Gibbs already "allegedly" stated that if Brunell were to go down for a significant period of time, Campbell, not Ramsey would be the guy. I dont know if thats true or not, but if it is, I'd say trade Ramsey if we got a good offer (2nd round or better). I love Ramsey, and will cheer for him anywhere pretty much, but its obvious his days here are over so if the Jets offered somthing, we'd have to look into it.

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
I just think that Ramsey should get a real opportunity somewhere else, he owe's us nothing, Gibbs has no confidence in him, he's treated him like a redheaded stepchild from day 1, so why would he have any interest in keeping him? Even if Brunell goes down Gibbs has made it clear he can't win with Ramsey, so why even bother? Might as well look to the future with Campbell, that is why we gave up next years draft isn't it? Orton is starting, Manning started last season, I don't see why Campbell wouldn't be in there if Brunell goes down, this is the new NFL, rookies who's teams invest heavily in start their first year, Campbell should be no exception!

Wonder how LC would feel if Ramsey went to the Jets.

I listened to an interview with yesterday with Doug Wililams. To paraphrase, "Joe Gibbs ALWAYS made decisions based on the best move for the Redskins organization". "Never anything personal". "I did not agree with him benching me, as I thought I was the best QB". "All players think the same thing". but even then, he did what was best for the organization". I for one have been SERIOUSLY enjoying the feeling of KICKING the BOYS ASS (after an eternal drought)! Thankyou JOE for that feeling |

I don't think the Jets can't wait until week six to start wheeling and dealing for a QB for a couple of reasons: By the time any new QB get's acclimated to their system, it may be around week 9 or 10. Which leads to the second reason, their playoff hopes may be out of the window at that point. If they are going to make a move and stay in the hunt, Baltimore too I might add, they should do something before week four in my opinion. We'll see how all this shakes out! |

I doubt very seriously that Gibbs ever said that. First of all it doesn't make sense. Even if Brunell is hurt and out and extended amount of time, why would you through away the rest of the season. With Ramsey you still have a chance to win games. With Campbell it would be to much for the rookie to handle. Gibbs would not do that to the other 52 guys playing their guts out to try to bring the winning tradition back to DC. |

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
I do not see Gibbs trading Ramsey so early in the season If Brunell goes down and we are winning I would think Ramsey would be the guy. If we are loosing games Campbell will be our guy to get him ready for next year. I think it would be hard to get a 1st for Ramsey when our coach is not very high on him. It would almost be funny to see Ramsey throwing to Coles only to have him drop the ball.

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
theres no question we shoudl accept a 1st rounder if we got an offer for one. hell i think we'd be lucky to get a 3rd round pick

Re: Jets In The Market For Qb!
er Hog1, i think most agree keeping Brunell in so long last year wasn't the best thing for the team. i'm sure it was meant to be, but it showed Gibbs gave 'his' QB around a thousand more chances than he ever gave Ramsey.
