To use a specific example, to call Alfred Morris a bad player defies common sense. Beyond that, the authors are trying to tell us that Trent Williams and DeSean Jackson are average players. No way is that the case. I realize that our roster isn't nearly Super Bowl quality, but neither is this analysis.

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
Our two huge problems. We undersized and lack talent in the trenches. On the offensive side of the ball, teams had a lot of success against our offensive line, specifically, the interior. It common to see DL hitting Morris five yards deep in the back field. I'm sure we all can agree, that without RG3 out there, our running game was non existent. Teams did a good job of applying pressure on our qbs. I'm not going to put all the sacks on the OL. However, teams were able to apply pressure from the edges and straight up the middle.
Our receivers are way to small to run the WCO. We have tons of speed with no size. This puts pressure on our qbs to make perfect throws. We can't create any mismatches. Teams with good safeties and big corners will always give us problems. In the redzone where size is far more value than speed we're seriously lacking. On the defensive side of the ball I don't really know were to start. Our DL consistently gets pushed around. There is not one difference maker. Our pass rusher is mediocre at best. A lot of people give our corners a lot of flack, but to be honest, they could never be as bad as our safeties. Both Ryan Clark and Brandon Merriweather need to retire. How do we get on the right track? The first thing we have to do is address our defensive front seven. We have to draft OLB, NT, DE, of ILB. Find the best player at one of these positions. I would prefer an OLB or NT. With the fifth pick in the draft we'll have a lot of leverage. Not only can we address one of these position, but we can even trade back and still get an impact player. On the offensive side of the ball we have to address that interior line. There are some very talented centers and guards in this draft that will be available in the second round. It's going to be a long process. We're not going to be a great team overnight. However, I believe this where it starts. Tomorrow I'm going to give you guys a list of players I like rounds 1-4. |

So basically no Oline, No QB, No Defensive line, No real depth at Linebacker, Corners aren't terrible but not good, and safeties god awful. I think the better question should be what the Skins actually have. |

while yes we are certainly more than one player and significant moves in the Front office yet to be made...the turn around in this league can happen rather quickly. Just look at our division year run a couple years ago, nobody could have predicted that

Not sure if anyone has mentioned Denzel Perryman (ILB, Miami) ... This guy is a beast!!! He's projected to go 2-3 round of the draft. I would love to see us grab him in the 3rd if he's still available. Check out his highlights

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
I'm looking through OLB draft profiles some nice late round picks Za'Darius Smith & Lynden Trail. The release of OLB coach Baker is puzzling.

It appears that Barry intends to be that guy, like last year when our OC was also our QB coach.

If we followed common sense, we wouldn't be the Redskins. We always have to reinvent the wheel despite the fact that we suck at making wheels.
