Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
Eh I dunno how good I feel about this game considering we've never won on the road.
But let's hope it's a good one!

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
If there was a day to get the running game going, it's on the road, in the nfc, in December trying to win the division. Gruden needs to show me something...he better have this team ready to go.
Fans have whined our toughest opponents have been on the road, not this week folks. No excuses this time |

It's going to be a close game, both teams are identical. Hopefully kirk plays well and we get the W

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
An interesting stat, even though I am probably laying down a good ole fashioned jinx:
We have run two kickoffs back for a TD, Chicago has given up 2 TD returns on kickoffs. They've given up 1 Punt return for a TD, we have yet to take a punt to the house. Seems like we have a potential for a TD off of special teams. I worry that Cutler will try to exact revenge for Hall's 4 pick game - or that Hall pulls a Djax type hero play that backfires. But maybe it goes our way and our D and ST just own the Bears. That would be great! |

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
also we have a turnover differential of 0, 20 takeaways, and 20 giveaways. I didn't break down by games though, and we know that KC's turnovers happened earlier in the season, and our D the last few games has been doing very good at getting turnovers.
Does anyone else worry that the D gets complacent about trying to create TO's when the offense doesn't turn then into points? For information, Bears are -2 on turnovers, taking it away 13 times, giving it away 15 times. |

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
Hoffman just reported on the 980 pregame show that the staff are really upset with themselves for being so predictable on 1st down last week.
In particular, for not calling more boot. I believe the 1st down calls will be a lot more varied this week. Weak run D. Alfmo should be desperate to show he's not washed up. We're going to move the ball and win!

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
I hope we pass 45 times, with screens and short routes to RB's dominating. 4 to 5 Djax shots in the first half, and Morris comes into play in the 4th quarter to preserve a 21 point lead.
(in other words F.. the run! We need to embrace a pass heavy, deep threat capable, put points on the board every possession mentality). Look at Pittsburgh last week, they were up 28-10, and BR was still chucking the ball deep. That's what I want. Our Pass Protection far exceeds run blocking. KC can get the ball deep, and no one on the Bears is staying with DJax and Reed and Garcon all day. + (and this is big) If we don't run JReed can't screw us with holding calls!!! |

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
No idea what to expect with this team they are so bi-polar. They could look amazing like they did with the Saints or completely inept like they did with many of our losses. The defense will probably be shitty today while our offense does decent. We never can get both units playing well at the same time.

Robert Griffin QB Inactive
Je'Ron Hamm TE Inactive Jeron Johnson DB Inactive Arie Kouandjio OG Inactive Perry Riley ILB Inactive Andre Roberts WR Inactive Chris Thompson RB Inactive Don't mind seeing Andre Roberts or Perry Riley inactive, Jeron Johnson just makes me bummed - He was the Andre Roberts of this year's FA, I thought big things could happen, but he just hasn't done it. |

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
Watched the Bills Four Falls special last night and Tasker said that 1991 team was the best he ever saw. Spent the next hour searching for and watching those Super Bowl highlights. Not gonna lie, I was a little turned on, lol.
I can't wait until we are 75% as good as that team was. Hell maybe even 65%. Beat the damn Bears.

Re: Skins v. Da Bears Gameday Thread
If someone could teach Reed how to block, I think he would be a top 5 TE. But he is a liability as a blocker.
