Re: Predict RGIII's next team
Houston makes the most sense to me. They have absolutely nobody at QB and they need to win now. I believe RGIII would start there and that he would help them more than anyone they could draft. I also think that the Texans' strong defense and the fact that they are located in Texas where RGIII has family and many fans would appeal to him.
I'd love to see RGIII revive his NFL career. He's a good man and he deserves another shot as an NFL starter. p.s. It's a 3 hour drive from his hometown of Cpperas Cove, TX to Houston.

When it comes to RGIII, the biggest question is not where he will play in 2016. For me the bigger question that be needs to be answered is: can RGIII develop into a successful NFL pocket passer? If not, he will not be able to stay healthy or play well enough to keep a starting job. He will bounce around the NFL until no team wants him and plays in Canada. That makes where he plays next year pointless. His 2012 success was in large part dependent on him being a running threat and that contradicts directly to his injury prone history and inability to take the pounding running NFL QB's take. Not to mention his terrible penchant of holding on to the ball way too long and improvising. That shit is a sack, injury and turnover waiting to happen. That shit has to stop or he will not survive in the NFL. So doing it (being a pocket passer) all summer in practice is one thing. Doing successfully in a game is another animal and up to now he has not proven he can do it. Time will tell. He would be better served to go to a talented team that already has a starter, like Dallas or KC or Philly and develop behind a good Qb. If thrown into a starting role, recent history (2013, 2014 and 2015) shows he is not ready. |

For some reason this is how I imagine it:

Re: Predict RGIII's next team
Can you imagine the Redskins playing the Rams and Fisher sending out RGIII and all the players the Rams got in the trade for him for the coin toss?

Fisher is a big enough douche to do that. Then we would crush them 31 to 3.

Didn't the Rams just cut one or two of those players?

I'd just walk out carrying divisional championship flags.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team
I think he goes to the Jets and Geno ends up in D.C. (as a backup, of course). If Fitz resigns then they will battle for the starting gig. After last season, I do not see RG going to a team where he waits in the wings (like Dallas). He wants a chance to be on the field. That is why Rams and Browns also make sense.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team
IMO, RG3 for Geno Smith would be a good trade. They both need a fresh start and have possibly matured a little.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team
What do you believe RGIII's current FA value is?
I don't think anybody really has a good idea. If one team is interested, then his value is whatever the interested team says it is. He hasn't shown anything since late 2012 to demonstrate he is a NFL starter to build around. With the reluctance to overpay for a project QB, I believe he will hit FA and somebody will take a cheap flyer on him.

Re: Predict RGIII's next team
if i'm RGIII, i'm not going for a trade unless the offer is better than the open market, which isn't likely.
