All Skins fault? I don't get the sense this is the total dumpster fire the media is making it out to be. They have an axe to grind, because they're being kept out of the loop.
I love your optimism, and normally I'm one of the more optimistic cats in burgundy and gold, but the truth is, this has disaster written all over it. I don't think it's coincidence that Scot McCloughan comes in and suddenly the team is winning 8 or 9 games and making the playoffs. McCloughan has been around three successful transitions of teams from poor to fantastic. He knows how to bring in the right guys and he knows the correct way to build through the draft. You also can't judge a draft after one season. It takes a few seasons to really get a good idea how good or bad that draft really was. And least we also remember that in the past, Scot McCloughan's players tend to last longer in the NFL than players drafted by any other GM, so that tells you something of the magnitude of talent McCloughan can bring to the scouting department. When he gets the axe, you're going to see it then.

We do not want Bruce Allen governing over player acquisitions.

What has he done? He has changed the direction of the team and wants to build through the draft. Wants to be strong in the trenches. His way is proven with sustained success. He comes from a background in Green Bay under Ron Wolf that WORKS. If I were Bruce Allen I would be doing everything I could to make this work. Obviously egos and personal issues get in the way.

If this parting of the ways is drinking related then just come out and say it and quit lying to everyone. Say SM is having personal challenges. If it's ego related then shame on the Redskins front office. You brought the guy here, let him do this thing and get the F out of the way. Remember, your way and model is a complete and utter failure.

I'm pretty sure the team cannot say that he is having drinking related issues; and they have come out and said that he's dealing with personal matters but no one seems to be happy with that answer. So what else are they supposed to say?

Geez, what a disaster! If I'm Snyder, I think I let Allen go and keep McCloughan.

I'm not buying what Mike jones is selling. It just doesn't make any sense that Bruce Allen would make up a fake trade story and then sign his HC to an extension simply to cover up a feud with Scot M.

Yeah, that's an expensive cover-up.

Yeah most likely. Probably the only way he stays is if he just really wants to be part of an NFL team so badly he'll stay on the payroll at a minimized role. But it has not been good for a while. And the funeral excuse was a piss poor one

Well this is just the latest shit sandwich I've had to eat today. At least we know the Skins are back to normal again.

Seems to me that Gruden and SM are at odds as well. I remember that comment when the season was over, basically Gruden said that we need to do better in the first round cause "one was hurt and one was a guard." I mean did Gruden realize that Brandon S. is a legit starter and is a really good player?? Just a stupid ass comment by Gruden and a direct shot at SM.
