What's funny is I used to be a strong supporter of the name, given the vocal minority of Native Americans in NY appeared to be the loudest opponent of it, not to mention the fact the name is used on west-coast reservations for their high school football teams. And the Smithsonian connection where it appears the name wasn't as widely offensive as some would have us believe.

But now the name has been drug through the mud so many times and is more associated with being the latest embarrassment to the NFL that I don't care if it's changed. Being a shitshow for 20 odd years and doing things like bringing in Reuben Foster has done more damage to the name than that upstate-NY tribe ever could.

Not the 5th most hated football team or the 5th most hated sports team but the 5th most hated business of all types in the country! Snyder has managed to do something that is damn near impossible. On top of that, your average Joe doesn't even know the half of how poorly he has treated Redskins fans, his own employees and others. This is utterly disgraceful.
