Re: Guice injured again

Maybe big Trent is right about this medical staff,or maybe Guice is just injury prone.

Re: Guice injured again

BMitch like to play both sides of the fence and he totally did with the Guice thing. BMitch doesnt like Gruden so I'm not surprised he'd find a BS was to blame him. Guice was cleared to play and he played and got hurt. Nothing more nothing less.

If you think back to training camp there was some talk that Guice was nursing a problem that was never really discussed. I always think that one thing leads to another and if Guice was truly nursing something with his leg then I wouldn't be surprised if somehow that minor injury lead to this.

I have no problem with them benching AP. This team is going nowhere and its time to see what the young players can do. Unfortunately we now know Guice is injury prone and likely isn't the bell cow RB the team was hoping he could be.

Funny thing is we have Love sitting on IR with a bad knee. These guys love drafting injury prone players. It's like they think they're getting value in guys cause they fall in the draft. What difference does it make if they're always hurt?

They draft them, then keep them when they should just cut their losses. I don't know what they are thinking. What does Jordan Reed get like $10 million a year? He is either in street clothes or playing too dinged up to be effective 1/2 the time. So in reality you are paying 20 mil for every 16 games a tight end who can't block his mother is effective.

Yup...the strategy of drafting a guy at discount because of injury is one this team shouldn't be implementing. Not with out injury history and overall talent on the team...we don't have the space.

They saw what happened with Jaylon Smith, difference is his really was a major freak accident that happened.

Guice can't even get started to show what he can do

Re: Guice injured again

Guice is meeting with DR. James Andrews today and the expectation is that he will need surgery... Timetable is 6-8 weeks per ESPN.

Its time to move on from him, he will never be healthy

Have you ever of the term “bad luck”, “snake bitten”? Shit happens!! Unfortunately we are one of those teams, you can blame the training staff whatever, I say it’s pure shitty luck.

If it keeps happening year in and year out with the Redskins always among the leaders in lost games due to injury something more than bad luck is at play. Obviously many injuries are unavoidable, but some are. A good example was RG3, that guy was an accident waiting for a place to happen. He seemed to contort his body often in a way that made it seem he was trying to maximize possible injury from contact, not minimize it. He was either not taught how to properly protect himself or it wasn't stressed to him enough.

Re: Guice injured again

ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that RB Derrius Guice is expected to be sidelined six-to-eight weeks in the likely event that he undergoes surgery to repair his torn meniscus.

Guice is in Florida today to meet with Dr. James Andrews and get a second opinion on his torn meniscus. Schefter noted that, "In the likely event that Guice decides to undergo surgery, he would be expected to be sidelined six to eight weeks." This is a longer timeline than initially thought, as Guice stated he was expected to miss a "few weeks." The Redskins will move forward with Adrian Peterson as their early-down grinder with Chris Thompson taking the majority of snaps on pass downs and in two-minute situations

lol...gotta laugh

When we drafted Guice I really felt like he would be our workhorse all around back, should have seen this coming the first snap he took in a game tore his acl. SMH

6th carry but still, he cannot catch a break. I feel for the guy because he has all the talent but dang 3 games a pro with a total of 28 carries and 2 major knee injuries. Sucks for him and us and add RB to our list of needs.

Jay wanted Peterson gone. Front office said no.

It's pretty bad when Bruce Allen makes you look incompetent.

Ha...it also kinda stinks when the Front office and Coach cant get on the same page. But AP back is big...but I wouldn't be surprised if CT gets a lot of run.
