I for one appreciate the fact that the mods here try to limit the number of concurrent threads going on here. If there's already 3 other threads with your topic, why start another one?

Let me give you some, read the site guidelines especially the portion regarding duplicate threads.

If you don't like the way things are run, it's no skin off my nose, there are plenty of other sites out there, why not give them a try. If you think I'm controlling wait til you see some of the other forums. Or better yet, try starting up your own! Then you can run your site just the way you see fit! Maybe I'll drop by and give you some advice.

Maybe I'll do just that - create my own site and I'll take my own advice - if other sites are as bad as you say then I may have a market for people who want to chat about anything they want and not have to worry about someone shutting them up or the administrator rhetorically commenting about double-posting, then shutting them up.

This is really an ignorant thread. What it boils down to is that you think Matty can't have an opinion on things because he's the administrator. There is nothing in the rules that state such. As a moderator of another site, I have banned people for calling out administration. You should kiss Matty's feet for allowing you to post such a stupid thread.

Trust me, we mods do our best not to lock down or delete threads. We mods also disagree with how this team is being run and about a great many other things. However, we all agree that duplicative threads and few "emotional" ones do not deserve to take up bandwidth or add confusion and chaos to the site.

Intelligent and diverse viewpoints are welcome, but name-calling never is. There is simply no room for that kind of stuff on this site.
