I have a hypothesis on that. Restaurants limit seating and people are "aw shit got to start cooking for myself again" and need to stock up on toilet paper. My other hypothesis is that people are just bat shit crazy.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

Emergency approval of Pfizer vaccination goes to FDA with 20 million to go out within the the next month.

Unbelievable and another example why this country is the greatest in the world while other evil countries release plagues upon the world and cover it up.

Bigly job by a lot of folks

COVID has my elevator protocol all messed up. I'm the hold the door open to where its almost awkward how long I wait guy. Now I just get in and go like it's a race. I feel like a bastard. Some people are probably like what an asshole and some people probably like it and want to ride by themselves.

Re: Coronavirus (non political)

My family decided to skip Thanksgiving this year and at this rate it's hard to imagine getting together for Christmas. Sad but it's just reality right now. Anybody else going the same route for the holidays?

I never travel for Thanksgiving. Me and my now-ex GF just do our own thing together. Still going to this year as well (amicable breakup). She lives by herself so makes it easy to avoid everyone else.

Still going home for Christmas unless my flight is canceled, which is a very strong possibility this year, especially in CA. Already mentally preparing myself to spend Christmas alone. That's gonna suck.

If that ends up being the case, I'll probably just get drunk and watch Die Hard lol.

Thanksgiving just immediate family but no traveling or driving around seeing family afterwards this time.

But the big blow to me is my dads side of family canceled the Christmas Eve get together we always done since the 70s...it’s usually around 50 of dad side of family...bring a plate, bring drinks (moonshine shows up sometimes) and gift exchange between kids. That’s been held first at my grandparents house and since they have past, my eldest aunt house ever Christmas Eve starting at 530pm. Some walk over for church choir service which starts at 6:05 and goes to 7 at Baptist church across the street.

This hurts the most.

Better than nothing I suppose.

My family usually does a get-together with our extended family for Xmas or Thanksgiving, we cancelled Thanksgiving this year so it will just be immediate family for now, but I'm probably gonna do an early Xmas weekend with the siblings in a couple weeks since we don't want to do a big Xmas.

My in-laws live about 30 minutes down the road but they don't feel comfortable with us coming over so it is just the four of us.
