This is now my favorite idea if they change the name. Someone above this said the Braves. That's my favorite baseball team also, I like that idea too.

Re: Skins getting heat again over name issue
Investors call Nike, Fedex and Pepsico to cut ties with Redskins
Now I'm starting to think there is a good possibility Snyder will have to change the name.. Snyder probably already started looking at the yachts magazine for a second yacht and he will need the money. |

It seems like the Federal Gov't is now also trying to force the name change. If I am reading this article correctly, it sounds like the the Skins won't be able to move into any other stadium until the team name is changed. So now unfortunately Snyder is getting it from all sides. And I predict that if the advertisers and the governments gang up, the NFL itself will be the next group to force the name change. As for new names for the team, Dan Snyder already trademarked the name Washington Warriors back in the early '00 when he flirted with idea of owning an Arena Football team. So the transition would be natural. Also the team can bring back the Burgundy Arrowhead helmets and go with the really nice uniforms that the team wore for the 70th Anniversary in 2002.Of course I would prefer for the team to retain the name Redskins, but it seems to be a forgone conclusion that the Redskins name will be going away at some point soon. And at this point I can live with the Washington Warriors and least the team can have a nice set of uniforms. ![]() Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

When the $$ actually comes off the table let's talk. Until then just hollow threats.

They could call it Washington Shit Show for all I care and I´d still be game.
But I would prefer anything over alliterations - Warriors, Wizards, Wankers, no thank you. |

The Skins! Call them the Skins ,change the emblem to a big W on the side of the Burgundy or Ye allow helmet.

Re: Skins getting heat again over name issue
I look for Snyder to go all in on keeping the name...like arranging a meeting with several Native American tribe leaders/spokespeople and CEO's of Fed Ex, Pepsi, whoever...to show the OTHER side of the name and why it should be kept

The name "Heroes" comes to my mind. And, Dan, if you use my idea, don't be too specific about who those heroes might be. Let each fan think of his or her own heroes when they see or hear the team name. See, it works for everyone. |

Re: Skins getting heat again over name issue
I'm incredibly tired of mostly white liberals telling me what is offensive to not only Native Americans but to my own race. The rebel flag? Pretty obvious why that offends people. The term Redskin? SMFH!!! They don't even know why Marshall named the team Redskins. I swear I hope Snyder sticks to his guns and doesn't cave in to phony ass pressure from the media. The pandering that is going on is pathetic.
