Has there ever been any Wolf sighting in the DC area? LOL I just think they will go with something for the history of the city / team. But I agree, at this point I don't care and to go 2 full years as WFT just to change everything again is also stupid

I think #WashingtonFootball is aiming for "forward thinking" and "inclusive" as themes moving forward

Sucks that Warriors is out. If you look at the dictionary definition there's nothing that directly ties it specifically to Native Americans but whatever, people have become so fucking over sensitive that using the term owner may be on it's way out. FFS.

I agree about the Warriors definition but according to what the announcement said its also about context and they feel Warriors in the context of a new name for the Redskins has too much connotation to Native American imagery.

Why bother changing from team to club though?

Club is just another way of referring to a team or franchise. I didn't take it was Snyder messing up and revealing the next name.

I can only imagine the mocking that would come from taking 2 years to go from team to club.

I think they realize they jumped the gun by so quickly calling them WFT. IMO WFClub rolls off the tongue much better than WFT. I hope they keep it WFT or WFC, it's different.
