Oh thanks, hadn't seen that.

While being a fervent Redwolves/Wolves supporter, I know after the first sentiment of deception I'd be cool with pretty much any other name too, with a cool logo and all.

The thing for me with Spartans is, while ancient and current greek people likely wouldn't get offended, do they really want to go down the human mascot route again ?

I think it's going to be Wolves, maybe RedWolves, and these videos are ways of prepping the fan base. Spartans was mainly from fan comments, not anything specific.

Nah, internet fan polls always go wrong. Everybody that isn't a WFT fan would vote for the worst option - or if there's an "other" category they'd all link up and vote for TeamyMcTeamface or some other dumb shit.

I agree. Although the subtitle for this episode was the people's team, so by that...

It wouldn't be bad to let season ticket holders vote. I am not one so I wouldn't have a say, but those who invest in season tickets -especially after the past 20 years of ineptitude - ought to be rewarded with a say.

Yeah, they don't even need to pick the winner. Would just be for fun. I just want to know what the 3 options are. Don't want to wait 6 months. Really blue-balling us here.

I actually could go with the Washington Armada but like someone else said the name sounds better ending with an S.

Regardless of the final name, I personally like that they are keeping engaged with the fans as they go through it. I think videos like the ones they have done lead the fan base through the thought process and funnel the sentiment into manageable expectations. That way barring one of the God awful ones being selected(RedHogs, Presidents) people will at least have mentally accepted/resigned themselves to the outcome.
