Re: Around the NFL week 14
Indy makes sense in some ways. They will almost certainly move on from Rivers and Brissett, and reuniting with Reich could rejuvenate Wentz. But yeah, that contract. Only way I could see that working out was if they and Wentz voided it and maybe paid back some signing bonus, but I don't see him that desperate to get out of town.

The writing was on the wall, he was always hurt and honestly he really isn't that good, he's a Kirk Cousins type of QB. Mid tier

Re: Around the NFL week 14
Wentz counts for $60 million in cap space IF THEY CUT HIM, with a $40 million cap hit next year!
I hope no one wants him. Philly will be in cap hell. Despite poor play at quarterback this season, the Philadelphia Eagles likely won't release Carson Wentz due to the $60 million in dead cap that would occur this offseason, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network explained: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ap-hit-in-2021 Quote:

He still has talent, he is shell shocked or thinking too much or something. If he goes cheap, I would be totally on board with taking a flyer on him.

Re: Around the NFL week 14
Agreed. If you can get him on the cheap, I think Washington would be a good place to give him a second shot. I mean the guy had 2 MVPish seasons to start his career... We can question some decision making, but our coaching staff is proving to be a good players motivating staff, so I say why not bring him in and make him compete with Alex ? I don't think he has work ethic issue, he just looks scared and stressed out of his talent.

Re: Around the NFL week 14
Ok. I'm officially scoreboard watching from here on out, until I don't have a reason to. Since it's the Christmas season, here's my wish list for week 14.
Wins by: Arizona -1.5 New Orleans -7 Tampa Bay -6.5 Houston -1 Green Bay -7.5 Washington (of course) +3 They are all favored with the exception of Washington. |
