To be fair the area was that way from day 1 of our country and if people want to be represented they can move less then 5 miles. This isnt the same as th british telling the colonies they could not have representatives in parliament.

But yes i am more than ok with dc getting statehood. Can we move the federal government to st louis or somewhere more centralized too? Please???

Agree this hypocritical and dumb. Going to change it though it is hypocritical of the democrats not the left. Kerry is an establishment democrat and very moderate. This is an example of why I have had such an issue with many of the establishment democrats.
