Brian Westbrook Put on IR

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2250259

Apparently, Westbrook is done for the year. With McNabb, Westbrook, and T.O. out of the Eagles' starting lineup, we can chalk up another victory.

Re: Brian Westbrook Put on IR

is there anybody still left on that team? I shouldn't take too much joy in another team crashing to the ground but when it's a divisional opponent who's been as good as it has been and has beaten us to a pulp a few times recently, I can't help but enjoy it a little bit and hope for a little bit more.

The Eagles have lost Donovan McNabb, Terrell Owens, Todd Pinkston, Brian Westbrook, Corell Buckhalter, Hank Fraley, Jerome McDougle, and Lito Sheppard. Plus they lost Corey Simon and Derrick Burgess to free agency.

In Redskins terms, that would be like losing Mark Brunell, Santana Moss, David Patten, Clinton Portis, Ladell Betts, Casey Rabach, Renaldo Wynn, Philip Daniels, Cornelius Griffin, and Shawn Springs. Talk about bad luck.

Re: Brian Westbrook Put on IR

Well, I guess that means no help from the Eagles beating the Giants this week. If they can get beat 42-0 to the Seahawks at home, they have to be at least 20 point underdogs to the Giants at home.... Well, our slim home of running the table and winning the division just went out the window. WildCard is the most we can hope for now.

The Giants still have to beat KC, which is VERY tough in December (especially at home - too bad the game is in NY!).

Oh well. Out with the old, in with the new. The Eagles squandered their opportunity to win a Superbowl for the next twenty years. It's reciprocity. What goes around , comes around.

terrell owens was their own doing, not by any sort of bad luck, they knew what they were getting into but they were greedy. serves them right. plus a lot of these guys are going on IR simply cuz they are out of the playoff chase. if they were 10-2 i think mcnabb atleasst would be around still.
