three consecutive quarterbacks (josh allen, matt ryan, and jameis winston) have thrown four touchdowns against washington, a historic level of failure matched by only three defenses in the history of the league. Others: 2011 giants, 1986 oilers, 1980 49ers.

Over under would be at least 5. Someone look up the odds on that. You can bet on anything these days. I think 5 td passes against us by him is extremely reasonable.

Washington Football Team Defense 2021

Also I thought Davis was having a pretty good year as per pff and all that, just wasn’t getting alot of playing time? Are we calling the guy a project based solely on last week’s game?
Am I wrong when I say he was grading out real well for a rook up until last weeks game? Maybe making his first start gave him nerves? Also it seems JDR has EVERYONE playing under expectations. I don’t think Im ready to say that he isn’t ready.

I don't know what his PFF grade has been by game, for the year it appears to be 51.9. However, he's been in on less than 50% of the defensive snaps. I wish they would just throw him to the wolves honestly. I really don't see how he could do more harm than good at this point.

You know how Defenses sometimes get nicknames (Steel Curtain, Orange Crush, Monsters of the Midway). I think a great one for our defense would be Warm Butter.

Without looking it up ..

We have to be the 32nd ranked D after yesterday, right?

Didnt see this coming at all. Im shocked. I still think we were correct and reasonable to assume a top 10 D coming into this year.

You and me both.. I still find it hard to believe how the group fell off the track, especially with Del-Rio's history with defenses. I would give Del-Rio another chance next year, as long as he will make some changes.

How do you give up 500 yards in an NFL game? You just have to be real bad to do that. And we are just that. Bad all around.

To be fair, I would probably give up playing if my offense can only put up 13 points after intercepting Mahommes twice, recovering a fumble, and keeping the Chiefs offense to 10 points in the first half.

Our average currently is 423 yards against. On the average Sunday the opposing team will put up almost 425 yards against us. Just sayin

Re: Washington Football Team Defense 2021

J Allen and M Sweat leading the way on the D-line

J Allen: 5 sacks / 17 QB hits

M Sweat: 4 sacks / 10 QB hits

The next best stat line is 1.5 sacks / 4 QB hits (CY)
