Arizona stadium - our home away from home?
Was it just me, or did it seem like Redskins fans owned that stadium today? I was watching on t.v., but i noticed when our defense was on the field the crowd was shouting defense, and on that play right before the final two minute warning, i could hear shouts of Lets GO Redskins. Did skins fans own that stadium today or what? Also, on another note, we finished 4-0 against the NFC West. When was the last time we actually swept another division?

If anyone went to the game, please leave some posts here or make your own thread. Id love to hear about it. And I definitely heard the chants of DEFENSE when the Skins D needed a stop. Sure sounded like the Skins were deeply represented in AZ. Nice job, now lets try it at home this coming week vs Dallas.

I made a comment to my family while watching the game that on the review of Portis's TD and when the ruling was announced I could hear nothing but cheers. I think I only heard the crowd react loudly in favor of the cardinals maybe twice during the entire game.

Also, Arizona is such a great vacation spot, and it's so easy to get Cards tickets, that visiting fans always show up in droves, no matter what game. Nevertheless, there were a TON of Skins fans there today. Awesome sight.

Re: Arizona stadium - our home away from home?
I was at the game with my dad and brother. It was a redskins home game.
Tempe is a great place to visit for a football game. I've been several times and have not seen one fight. The atmosphere is friendly. its a college stadium. all around the stadium are restaurants and shops. no need to tailgate before the game or leave the stadium after the game and meet your friends somewhere. you can just show up around the campus and party. they have great food. lots of bars. its like a street scene around the stadium. did i mention its safe? you can take your family and have a great time. its really a shame they are going to move to a new stadium next season. Im going to miss eating fish tacos before the game. go to the game. then go to hooters after the game all without walking a mile in total distance... man i had a great time. btw, ASU student(the female ones) are some of the hottest women ever! |

Re: Arizona stadium - our home away from home?
I lived in Tempe for about 6 months during the offseason back in 97. It's ridiculous Tempe, AZ gets a team and other places don't. There is no fanbase since the Cards haven't been there long enough. Most everyone I knew there was from back east and fans of other teams. If they were from out west and lived in Tempe they usually had no interest in football. Pics are awesome BigSkin and thanks to all those who screamed, yelled and chanted to ensure a victory and still a small playoff hope! I'm going to the game Sunday at home against Dallas and PROMISE to lose my voice! It's Dallas week everyone for the first time in 15 years!!! Let's get Fed Ex rocking like RFK!!!
