Even if we make the playoffs it is one and done.

Yeah we don’t have the offense to keep up with these teams

I'll take 1 and done over 0 and done. You have no chance to win a playoff game if you don't play in one.

Moreso than making the playoffs, I want to finish over .500. So sick of always losing.

If we have a healthy team, we will do both

Quite likely. But it's the NFL. Anything can happen every week. Heck we had a shot at the eventual SB champ last year...

Btw, don’t know if it’s been said but hats off to Landon Collins - he’s our most improved player this season. Moving him to the Buffalo nickel lb or whatever it is they call it was absolutely the right move.

He has been really good since he basically permanently moved down into the box. He actually had a pick this week, during 1 of the plays he wasn't there too.

Collins has been a strength this season. One of our better players.

If he is down to stay at the same position, I'd be down to keep him next year(s). We have cap space. Ideally, we extend out a year or 2, and lower the cap space.

He obviously wasn't a huge fan of the move, but he did it anyways, and has been playing very well.

He's a grown ass man, and I don't know him personally from Adam, but I'm proud of him.

Hopefully there is a mutually agreeable deal after this season.

Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread

While he emphasises the message that he is a "team player", Collins still bitches about the fact that he is a safety. He has stated that he doesn't want to play the nickel position but I am guessing he had been told to play that role or ride the bench, so he is doing it grudgingly. I would not expect him back next year unless he has a change of attitude

Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread

BTW, I was surprised that Bates didn’t get a little more PT against the Cowboys. I thought he looked good the week before. I’d be curious to see what he could do; Seals-Jones didn’t really do much.

Seals-Jones was pathetic. I'm up for more Bates, he looks like he's going to be a solid TE.

Re: In the Hole - Post Game Thread

Went through the All 22 of this game.

D played well overall. A couple of drive where they moved the ball on us, but minus a couple of big throws I thought secondary displayed good coverage. Again, they allowed one TD.

DL with a solid game both against the run and the pass.

Interestingly, I think they saw somewhat of a weakness against the swim move in the Cowboys Oline. Don't remember seeing that many swim moves from our guys before:

Allen

Settle

Another freak play by Allen

With how much Holcomb has been ripped for some coverage mistakes, I actually think he's more than decent in coverage, and had a very solid game. Here a very good coverage on Elliott:

Very solid play by Curl, love to see our DBs make those:

We praised Collins for playing well since the switch to an LBish role, rightfully so. But it looks to me like he's at fault on the TD. Isn't he?

And I hated his and McCain's missed tackles on this 3rd down late in the 1st half:

On offense, yes Heinicke had a bad game. And he did miss a couple of guys open down field(examples below), but he was under a lot of pressure, and it's not like guys were running wide open on every play.

And let's not forget he also made this throw...

I just wish you put a bit more effort in.
