For Fields, yes I would do that.

Other than the fact they both played at Ohio St I don't get the comparison of Fields to Haskins. Their games are totally different. Still too early to call Fields a bust, I think he flashed enough as a rookie for the Bears to keep moving forward with him for now.

There is no valid comparison between Fields and Haskins other than that they both played at Ohio State. Fields is a far more complete athlete and a proven leader who has played one year for a not very good NFL coach and a not very good team.. Haskins is, well, WFT fans know what Haskins is.

Sean Payton sat down this offseason like "ughhhh, fuck I gotta go find a real qb now. Fuck this I'm out."

Between him and Tomlin definitely curious to see what route Tomlin takes to finding his new QB1 this offseason.

It looks like he is going to take the FA route since it appears Pittsburgh is the favorite to get AR.

I will not be happy if they trade for Fields. I've never seen anything out of him that makes me think he'll be a good NFL QB.

I think Aaron Rodgers only makes sense if you think getting him makes us a SB contender this season. I don't. We'd certainly be better but I don't think we're that close. Nevermind the fact that he'd never see this as his best option.

I'd go a different direction. Need a guy you can keep for 3 years or more. Rodgers is a guy you maybe could get a few years from, but you could also end up with just one year. He's up there.

What's best for the team outside of getting Wilson, Watson, or Rodgers, is to draft a QB.

Ron needs to do what's best for the future of the team, not what is best personally for him, or his personal preference.

Draft a QB every damn year until we hit on 1.

Rodgers on probably half or more teams in the league makes them SB contenders. If he was on this team this year, he probably would have counted for at least 3 more wins in my opinion.

It's a win now league. Nobody would give us a better shot right now.

Exactly. It a week to week, year to year league. Worrying about 3 years from now isn't realistic in the modern NFL.

Going to strongly disagree if you're talking about trading away something like two firsts and Daron Payne, for example.

Here's a good article from Michael Silver who is good friends with Ron from his days at Cal.

Okay .. your point is valid IF we hit on those first rounders and find a way to keep all those D line players .. I would trade Davis ( last year first) and this years first and let Payne walk for Rodgers .. I see your point but I’m not confident we hit home runs on our picks .. Davis play was underachieving and Truth is so was Chase .. would you right now rather have Davis and Young or Rogers ?
