Re: Presidential Race 2024
I personally think Kelley was her best option especially in a swing state. Reading about Shapiro I see why she didn't choose him. I think for her Walz is a "safe" choice as I think both Kelley and Shapiro would cast a large shadow that I don't think Walz can.

Re: Presidential Race 2024
But it can hurt a candidate and I think both VP candidates did just that for their tickets.

Re: Presidential Race 2024
Walz has not hurt Kamala nearly as much as that whack job Vance has hurt Trump. The Pubs are desperate to find something, anything on Walz. So they resort to the claim of stolen valor when he simply misrepesented his military service. Where Vance is doubling down on really stupid and offensive statements.

Re: Presidential Race 2024
both parties chose running mates that ignored the moderate electorate, and solidified their base. I don't understand that strategy because I think there is a huge moderate portion of voters that are looking for "their candidate" in this mess.
I actually do understand the selections, Both sides basically believe that the moderates hate the other candidate so much more than theirs that they can choose whoever they want and they're still going to get that vote. And I think the Democrats are more right in that concept than the Republicans. I just wish somewhere along the line the moderates of both parties would stand up to the party leaders and say you all are batshit crazy! Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |

Re: Presidential Race 2024
I am aware that Trump has historically outperformed the polls so I should know better than to count him out. But it just appears to me that the madness has to stop, I can't believe more people want to sign up for 4 more years of Trump than those who are done with it all. I really do feel this way, this craziness we've all be living certainly has a shelf life.
Now Alan Lichtman, the guy who called correctly 9 of the last Presidential races including Trump in 2016, is calling it for Harris. https://www.nj.com/politics/2024/09/...mp-harris.html |

Congress is a toss-up. Controlling congress is more important to the right than Trump winning or losing, imo. I just hope America can wade it out until 2028. No way Harris or Trump will be president then.

Re: Presidential Race 2024
I could not disagree with this statement more. The entire Republican Party has sold out for one Donald J. Trump. Even those who can't stand the guy kiss his ass for votes. They are heavily invested in Trump.
