Re: Jayden Daniels - Commanders QB Thread

Unless Hurts plays defense he wouldn't have helped their D from getting torn up and giving up 22 points in the 4th qtr. Who knows how the game could have gone, we do know how it actually went though.

No Hurts doesn’t play defense, but he most certainly would have kept the ball out of Jaydens hands better than Pickett.

With this being said, we are in year one of a rebuild and we have the most important piece nailed down. We will finish with 10-12 wins which is pretty damn impressive for year one or any year for that matter. Get oline, wr, rb, te, help for the man. Get some more secondary and edge help on the D. Then the sky is the limit.

I see no "certainty" in that. It was quite possible, but not certain.

We can agree here.

It's football, injuries happens. It's a W for us and an L for them. No asterisks for either side.

Agree. I'm also aware they've feasted on our backup QBs or some sort of bum. Their fans are extremely bitter and creating fallacious arguments outta their asses.

And by the way, when Hurts went out, he was 1/4 for 11 yards. I mean, he didn’t really start the game on fire or anything.

41 yards rushing though on 11 plays. I hate Hurts more than anything because i am surrounded by Eagles fans but to act like Pickett replacing him doesn’t help us is silly. He and Barkley are a dangerous combination because he can throw the ball and run. When you put Pickett in there you simply load the box and key on Barkley because Pickett sucks. Lol.

This.
While hurts isnt going to go absolutely insane passing, he adds a dynamic to their team that makes barkley more dangerous. I'm not scared of hurts...i'm scared of what he opens up for barkley to do.

Daniels is a better passer than Hurts. Both great runners just a different style. Hurts has the better oline and weapons by far. Also Hurts has more experience. Both great qbs.

Q - if we beat the Falcons but we can't get better than 7th seed, would you rest starters (particularly JD) for the Cowboys game or say screw it, BEAT DALLAS!? I'm in the latter camp.

I think that our opponent could still change. We are looking at Eagles, Bucs, or Rams. If beating Dallas gets us Tampa or the Rams instead of Philly well than will at all costs.

I wrote if we CAN'T improve on 7th seed. If we can, of course we we go for the throat, but I'm wondering if keeping guys healthy for the playoffs is more important than beating Dallas.

If we gain nothing by beating Dallas, it should be treated as a pre-season game. Maybe get the starters in for the 1st quarter or so.

But let's go ahead and beat the Falcons 1st.
