We won’t be able to fill our needs in one year, but we should get closer.

A rookie QB took us to the NFC Championship. Yes, the loss was terrible, but think about where we were at this time of the year for the past 5-10 years.

Looking forward to next season.

JD is so good that he makes up for so many other weaknesses. Oline, lack of playmakers outside 17, even makes the D look better because we can give up 30 and can easily win. So we don’t need a complete overhaul because JD is that good. We simply need a few guys on O and a few guys on D and we can go to the next level aka the Superbowl. I am thoroughly looking forward to what AP does this offseason. We will be in the Superbowl next year. We just to put a few pieces around 5. He is good enough to cover for weaknesses, but not as many as we got now.

This. Anything else is just bitter disappointment, which is totally understandable. We can't expect a team with so many holes to compete with a more complete team every single week. 3 weeks in a row on the road was just too much.

Exactly! I also think we'll be in next year's Super Bowl. JD5 can cover up weaknesses, but there's only so much he can cover up. I think we'll make the moves to cover up enough of the holes to give us a chance at a Super Bowl.

Lattimore is not a lockdown CB anymore or he was still hurt which is also possible.

Wagner had an awesome yr but hes old

Luvu was great all yr, Sanristil as well.

We lack speed big time on the offense so I'd image that will be a focal point.

Agreed on all this. We really need help on the Oline. With our cap space and picks we can fix it and be the team to beat next year. I can’t even believe i am saying that so soon. I can’t believe that I am upset our season ended on January 26!

Re: Commanders vs. Eagles for the Super Bowl Gameday Thread

After I saw next years schedule after the home/away was set I thought it seemed real tough and we would have alot of work to do to duplicate this season but after looking at it again, now, 12 wins is a floor! We will be a better team. We are not used to having people in place that know what they are doing. Not since Bobby Beathard. I dont think AP is Beathard but he knows what he is doing. He is capable of making us better and we could have won 12 games this year against next years opponents. We are one of the best teams in football. When was the last time we went into a season being a team that struck fear in other teams? I was so disappointed after the loss, but if I look at the big picture compared to the last 30 years I am ECSTATIC. We wanted to be competitive. Well we are competitive to say the least.
