And he did all that we asked and by all accounts was a good teammate. I'd be happy for him to return on a cap friendly deal.
I would like to see Debo come back. He still has plenty left in the tank. I would rather have him than Aiyuk. Debo will play hard and loves football, not sure about Aiyuk, who basically quit on his team.

If they feel they need a speed guy I would just try and see if Lane could be that guy or find that person in the draft.

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

We are losing out on players because they don’t want to come here. Is AP not offering enough or are players just not wanting to come here for various reasons?

The fact we have 2 first time coordinators and DQ is somewhat on the hot seat; that could be a reason.

WR we know we are signing Ayiuk when he’s released.

I agree there is a stink around Washington, even the KK thing , he literally left for a lesser position

DQ is our next RR , AP has been mid at best when he came the expectations of this guy were no shorter then if Jesus took the wheel of the franchise

We are one major injury to JD5 away from having to start over , if he god forbid tore a knee this season , we are back in the dumpster and really wondering can you build around this piece of glass

I worry that folks are overreacting to all of this. Doubs just went to a team that made the Superbowl with a QB who could easily have been the 2025 MVP (indeed, lost by a few votes). Oh, and a team that has been the the Superbowl 9 times since we last made it (and won 6). So this shouldn't surprise anyone. It's not like he went to the Browns or Jets over us.

Obviously, there more work to do on the roster, and there will be more activity to come. The Colts overpaid for Pierce (in my view) and we lost out on Doubs to a franchise that most guys would be happy to play for. There are other WRs out there (not to mention other positions), and we'll have other opportunities. Candidly, I was more bummed out that the two LB candidates I liked -- Walker and Dean -- both ended up with the Raiders (not a great franchise), but I have no idea whether we made a run at them.

Woolen to the Eagles. Darn. I was hoping they'd not do much beyond get picked over or maybe extend Dotson. Ahh well.

Re: 2026 NFL Free Agency Thread

Calia is not any one list opportunity that concerns, it’s just been now three off seasons with AP and it’s been average results at best

I guess the great expectations of him set the bar to high in my mind of him

To date he is nothing special ( AP)

Please -- keep trashing AP, and the next thing you know we will get Hendrickson here for a ham sandwich. (Could you imagine, actually?)
