Exactly what I'm thinking. Here's what I feel is the bottom line. Bad officiating or not, and we've said this all year:

DON'T PUT YOURSELF IN THE POSITION TO LOSE THE GAME.

If your team is not dominant enough to win with ref problems, then you don't deserve to win. Yes, it has been happening to the Skins all year, it's been happening around the LEAGUE all year.

But you know what? Good teams win, average teams lose.

to me, it doesn't matter who was playing. the officiating was just very bad and seemed to be one sided. i just don't like to see the refs determine the winner and loser of a game, in any sport. i feel that they definately determined the outcome of the superbowl. you may disagree with me and thats fine but thats just the way i feel about it.

And I mean try not missing field goals, try NOT dropping balls.

Hagans was actually not offsides on the play they said he was. Remember, if you're looking for bias, you're going to get it from a Seahawks fan board. They should be worried about the 6 KEY FAs they might lose.

Re: Big List of Bad SB Calls

Why are we even making a case because it was Seattle as the "victim"? And if I could make those " " marks about a 72 pt. font, I would.

Re: Big List of Bad SB Calls

if seattle makes the field goals, and stephens catches a couple of balls, and hassleback manages the end of half clock better,no matter how bad the officiating was, seattle did not do enough to deserve to win

well since you want to play the IF game....

if you have good officiating, seattle did more than enough to win.

they kinda go hand in hand.

the majority strongly disagrees.

no big plays, plenty of dropped balls, rampant cluelessness in their 2minute drills.

The interception of Roethlisberger in the red zone was a big play. People say that Pittsburgh "did what they had to do to win", but I disagree. They were the passive recipients of bad officiating and mistakes by Seattle. Seattle certainly did not deserve to win, but I don't believe Pittsburgh did either.

they scored in the 1st qtr (big play taken away by the refs)
they stopped the steelers from scoring on 1st,2nd,3rd and goal plays (big ben was awarded a td on a bad refs call)
they completed a pass to the 1 yardline for a 1st and goal situation (the refs bad a bad holding call to take that away)
they held pitt to no first downs in the 1st qtr.
they intercepted big bens pass inside their own red zone.

don't tell me they didn't make any big plays.

and i have yet to speak to anyone who feels differently about the game than the way i feel, maybe it's just the area i live in but everyone around here feels like seattle got robbed.

look the td was close and replay didn't show much of anything, so thats not a valid point and just hurts your credibility in this arguement. no 1st downs is not by definition a big play. so that leaves the int as their only big play.

and if you're saying you don't know anyone who disagrees, you must not be talking to that many people (or you live in seattle), cause this thread is full of people who don't agree.

And i don't know why over a week later you're being so zealous and feel the need to respond to every single post with the same two sentences over and over and over again (ie, you're wrong, seattle got screwed, its the refs fault). It makes me think you either lost lots of money on the game, or someone shot you're dog because of it. Well, the money's gone and the dog's dead - complaining ain't gonna bring them back.
