the jets are 30 mil over the cap and have major problems at qb. keeping abraham happy has proved to be elusive for them. they need to close the book on him and move on

The story has been reported that they would franchise him and then try to trade. The Redskins was one of three or four teams mentioned, however.

Re: A prediction after reading some news

if he's franchised there's no way we can take him.

abraham is greedy and has taken himself out of games (when healthy) before. he has talent, but i rather get someone else.

And they couldn't do a sign and trade because they wouldn't own the rights to JA without getting him under a contract first (like a franchise tag).

Re: A prediction after reading some news

I dont know if this has been posted by some one or not, I didn't feel like reading all of the posts. The rumor is that the Jets may trade Abraham, but to the charges for Rivers or Breese. Probably Rivers. And if we trade him, it better be Ramsey. You cant have two first round QBs sitting on the bench. Plus if we keep him and he plays his ass off in the preseason and deserves a shot, it another QB controversy in Washington. we dont need that. Plus Arrington was a good player for our D the latter part of the season. He let the team in tackles for loss, even only playing in 2/3 the games. He should be 100% next year, plus I think he'll probably drop some weight in the offseason. It takes a year to get back to yourself after knee surgey like he had. It will be a big mistake for him to go.

I agree LA will be much improved next season, considering the direction the team is going, I think he will want to be here. Therefore I believe he will restructure his contract to give the skins much needed cap relief, and he will be a consistant part of our TEAM as well as help leading our defense to a top 3 defense in the league.

You may be working off old news. Brees had shoulder surgery and chances are he's not going to be ready for the season opener. Odds are really slim that the Chargers would be willing to deal Rivers at this point.

this is off topic but if i was sd i would be scared to death about my qb situation. brees might not be ready and rivers has been holding a clipboard for 2 years now. the only real playing time he got was week 17 after brees got hurt and he looked lost.

If Rivers isn't ready to play at this point they're really in trouble.

Re: A prediction after reading some news

i wouldn't trade lavar AND ramsey for that junxt . Now if we are talking draft picks i am all ears.

What could the skins sell ramsey and arrington together and seperately for in terms of draft picks?

I'd be very happy with a 3rd rounder for Ramsey, but I'd take a 4th and like it. For Arrington I'd want a 2nd rounder, but I'd take a 3rd and like it.

There's no way you'd ever find a team that would take both Ramsey and Arrington at the same time. The NFL just doesn't work like that.

Re: A prediction after reading some news

I would trade Ramsey then but not arrington. NOT ARRINGTON!!! so we aren't ever gonna be able to package them together? What about a superduper trade. Our 3rd, ramsey, and arrington for their first and abraham. as you can see i suck at trade talk but put up a scenerio and i will say if i like it or not and abraham for arrington is no good for me.
